The 23-year-old is yet to feature for the Reds in the Premier League this term, with his sole appearance for Jurgen Klopp's men this season coming in the Carabao Cup.
He was previously expected to join Premier League outfit Burnley on a permanent basis, although a move to Turf Moor failed to materialise.
And the Telegraph report that Swansea and Cardiff are among a clutch of clubs aiming to sign Wilson on loan before Friday's 5pm transfer deadline.
Wilson is currently away with Wales on international duty and is expected to feature against Bulgaria in the Nations League on Wednesday night.
He would not return to these shores until Thursday, meaning any potential deal is likely to go down to the wire.
The report states that Derby County and Nottingham Forest are also keen on securing the services of Wilson on loan.
Wilson spent the duration of last season on loan at Bournemouth and has previously had stints with Hull City, Derby and Crewe Alexandra.
