He's a good man Holloway. Speak from the heart with honesty and what you see is what you get with him always. :ayatollah:

You can definitely see why the media love him, he always give them a decent story.

Decent manager in the past to be fair to him, struggled in recent years.

I've not always agreed with Holloway but on this issue he is spot on.

Some businessman have no class whatsoever.... The PL and Govt should ban these two from holding any ownership, with immediate effect. Not fit and proper these people, and greed seems to have affected their decision making.

My personal opinion is if the 'top 6' want an elite league let them have one, on their own.

All other clubs should form a revamped football league with the 'best of the rest'.

Personally I love the Championship and thought our 2 PL seasons were an overrated experience. Of course we got relegated both times but I bet fans of most clubs would quietly agree that they preferred Championship football.

Without other opposition the 'top 6' (or possibly 'top 9 or even 10') would quickly lose appeal as the same elite teams played each other over and over again without the unpredictability of a slip against a so called non-elite team (like when we beat Manchester City in 2013) and will quickly become a clone of the Scottish Premiership which no-one really watches.

Attention would then focus more on the new top tier in the Football League where teams such as WBA, Nottingham F, Cardiff, C Palace, Birmingham etc. would contest a tightly competitive league to become champions.

The football league could redirect the Europa League place for winning the League Cup to the winners of this new league. Who knows once this league has established itself they could lobby for a Champions League place.

I would also suspect that interest in the reformed PL will subside especially amongst fans of those clubs who no longer participate in it and more TV revenues would be diverted to the FL.

Let's be frank clubs the size of Cardiff City will never be able to compete against the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea over the long term. We could though compete against our peers like the clubs mentioned above and that would be far more entertaining to watch. It would also offer the opportunity for fan owned clubs and end the reliance of having a wealthy owner.

Of course convincing other clubs to give up their PL status would be challenge but the likelihood is the elite teams will at some point make the decision to breakaway without consulting these teams any way.

I got aggro for having a go at their owners because they are American and want to bring in their way of running a sport? At end day it is pure greed and cannot hide that fact because what is not being highlighted is once they gain control of voting everything can be changed at later date? No relegation franchising of clubs of course dictat of who owns a club so a man c will never happen .....but biggest scam will be tv money now it's a collective thing but that will change and the big 6 will only allow their games to be screened on club tv so reducing appeal of football to broadcasters which will mean lower deals.... £5b now will become 1b next time so 25% suddenly doesn't go as far between 72 clubs plus that 25% can be reduced on a whim :o

99.99% of efl owners approve of things in principle but they do not agree with every proposal which is a bit contradictory considering what was being proposed! Obviously efl are going to want deal but unfortunately it is a short term deal as big 6 can alter terms at later date it like their tv deal previously with efl where there was hidden deals like being able to raid academies with minimal or no compensation to efl clubs... wouldn't trust premier clubs owners especially man u liverpool ones....

I was listening to Holloway’s rant and thought he was deluded and shows all that is wrong in football. Why should the Six biggest clubs in football bail out lower league clubs who are paying players money they cannot afford, and don’t give me the load of bollocks about them being part of the community because the first people out the door are shop/office staff and the local business get screwed not the players. He kept banging on about you can’t blame clubs for over spending trying to get to the Premier league well who’s fault is it ? Most clubs get wound up by the taxman that’s money they owe to us to pay for services.
