Aaron Ramsey: Wales midfielder withdraws from squad to face Bulgaria

Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks is also out along with suspended pair Kieffer Moore and Joe Morrell; watch Bulgaria vs Wales on Wednesday live on Sky Sports from 7.15pm, kick-off 7.45pm
Kieffer Moore suspended
Wales have won two and drawn one of their Nations League games so far, Bulgaria have drawn one and lost two.
Wales will be without Joe Morrell and Kieffer Moore in their next outing against Bulgaria after the pair picked up their second yellow cards of the campaign in the draw with Stephen Kenny's troops.
But Giggs says the absence of Cardiff City forward Moore will provide another attacking player with the opportunity to impress in Sofia on Wednesday night.
"That physical presence that he brings, and he brings other players into the game," said Ryan Giggs.
"When players are missing, it gives another player a chance."

Nations League: David Brooks pulls out of Wales squad for Bulgaria trip
David Brooks has pulled out of Wales' squad for Wednesday's Nations League match in Bulgaria due to injury.
The Football Association of Wales did not specify the nature of the injury when it tweeted confirmation of the Bournemouth midfielder's withdrawal.
Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore and Bristol City midfielder Joe Morrell have returned to their clubs because both are suspended.
Defender Chris Mepham has travelled to Bulgaria as he nurses a knee problem.
The 22-year old Bournemouth centre-back missed Sunday's draw with the Republic of Ireland after suffering his injury in Wales' 3-0 friendly defeat against England last Thursday.

I can see another draw

Ryan Giggs has revealed Tyler Roberts and Neco Williams are both in his plans for Wales' Nations League clash with Bulgaria on Wednesday night.
The Red Dragons play for the third and final time during what is the second international break of the 2020/21 campaign against Bulgaria.
However, they will be without Kieffer Moore and Joe Morrell due to suspension while David Brooks has withdrawn from the squad due to injury.
Moore has been a revelation for Wales since he made his international debut against Belarus last year, with the Cardiff City striker netting three goals in his nine appearances for his country.
But Giggs has stated that Leeds United attacker Roberts could well feature for Wales - who are also without Hal Robson-Kanu due to injury - in their fourth Nations League match tomorrow night.

Aaron Ramsey will not travel to Bulgaria with the rest of the Wales squad
Aaron Ramsey has withdrawn from Wales' squad for their Nations League game in Bulgaria on Wednesday due to injury.
The Juventus midfielder missed Wales' 3-0 friendly defeat to England at Wembley last week following a COVID-19 outbreak at the Italian club, but returned to captain the side in the goalless draw against Republic of Ireland on Sunday.

Whats not helping Giggs is half his team are not 1st team players for clubs and are only getting couple minutes playing time if that... ring rusty is an understatement.

Wales the better team so far but still 0-0.

I don’t enjoy saying this but we appear to be playing better flowing football without Kieffer in the side

Totally agree.

Two poor sides
This Welsh squad is very exciting on paper but awful on the pitch
Giggs needs to sort it out before this squad is wasted
Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:49 pm
Got nothing in the final third. Our delivery into the box is shocking. Dan James seems to do the hard work then his final pass is poor or the wrong choice.
Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:58 pm
So we are finally looking dangerous and Giggs brings off our best attacking player instead of switching it up a bit and going for the win.
That substitution made no sense in a game we need to win
Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:59 pm
Bulgaria inches away from taking the lead.
Harry Wilson and Dan James both got yellow card in quick succession at the start of the first half.
Harry Wilson suspended for the game against Ireland next month.
Dan James replaced by Rabbi Matondo now.

Daniel James' final delivery tonight has yet again been atrocious.

Rabbi Matondo nearly scores a brilliant goal

Daniel James' final delivery tonight has yet again been atrocious.
But he's the most dangerous player we have and the one likely to make something happen

He's not going to make anything happen if he can't find another player in red with a pass.

He's not going to bring the spark needed whilst sat on the bench either.
I suppose the best thing to do is take our best attacking player off when we are already massively understrength .
