will pandemic cause another decade of non stop new wars

Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:45 am

We could be entering a modern equivalent of the 1930s throughout europe.

we havent had the financial crash yet when that hits either 2021 or 2022 europe could disintergrate.

A lot depends right now on the US election as the power axis is shifting.

China are literally rounding up Uygher Muslims, sending them to camps. This is confirmed. Unconfirmed, allegations of what is going on there including forced sterilisation, organ harvesting etc have horrific echoes of the past, I pray they are not true but I fear they probably are.

Yet, they (China) have their tendrils in so many economies, including our own, Germany, Canada, Australia that very few nations are strong enough to call them out on these atrocities as well as there illegal activities in non-chinese sovereign waters of the South China Sea.

If Trump gets re elected he and India's Mohdi may stand against China and where that leads God knows. If Biden wins, the Chinese have won.

Also, Turkey are making supremacist ominous noises about caliphate again so that could be another threat especially for Southern Europe.

None of that is necessarily pandemic related though, just a peculiarly tense time in terms of geo-politics

Turkey, or at least Erdogan are the biggest threat to us. Not sure if the Yanks would step in if they decide to roll into Southern Europe, Erdogan has boasted his army could conquer Europe in a matter of days.

I think a counter threat of wiping out istanbul with 1 bomb is a leveller
A very sly demeanor that turkish leader has.

Wars are waged for financial/economical reasons. WW2 started because Germany wanted more land [to the east] for their people. I doubt Europe would go to war within its own borders, but the gap between rich and poor in Europe will grow. The EU is a 'union' in name only. The canary in the cage are the banks. If they start to wobble we're all in complete sh*t..
