How should we proceed poll ? Lockdowns etc

Saw in the Express today that they claim that 60% of Brits would back a harsher lockdown and another I read that most Brits feel we should not have family round at Christmas. Personally I am sceptical of these said polls but I have seen to many frightened people to discount it.

I voted carry on as we are, lockdown the areas where people can't behave and keep spreading the virus, they are obviously not taking any notice in the highest peaking areas up north. In fairness in Wales most areas have improved slightly since the mini lockdowns have been enforced.

My initial thoughts were to let the young get it like the students, and try and build immunity, but I've since realised we can't protect the care homes and vulnerable when the numbers get to big in the community.

Let them isolate if they feel the need. Protect the care homes. Not like the government does by sending the infected back into the care home system.

I've gone for herd immunity, as most families who have a vulnerable person,would surely look to protect them as much as is possible?? I know it's harsh on some,but another tougher lockdown is a no no for me,more people will die because of the "side effects" of covid,like millions of cancelled appointments, some for years !

Suicides are up,depression is taking hold of people daily,and the poor people who are shitting themselves from over the top media exposure?

Considering the flu on average kills around 10,000 a year and Pneumonia 30,000 a year in the UK. The stats for each have got a lot of catching up to do in the next 12 weeks, to show that the COVID numbers are not being fudged.

there are plenty of top scientists that say the exact opposite who. will actually explain their reasoning... ...while the ones running with this are unable to explain most of the science they are using or any medium or long term plans ... which is why the thread has people like yourself
suggesting how to beat it ....if there was a plan or a rough plan from these {top scientists }youd be quoting it chapter and verse..instead of coming up with this lock everyone down milarky..which was a disaster the first time
