BREAKING: AS EX CARDIFF CITY MANAGER GETS

Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:18 pm

Ex Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope has been appointed assistant manager at Nottingham Forest.

To be fair he was a good coach, but never a manager in my opinion.

They worked well together at Brighton.

Paul Trollope is Forest's new assistant manager under Chris Hughton.

The former Welsh international worked with Chris Hughton at Birmingham, Norwich and Brighton.

He also managed Bristol Rovers and Cardiff City.

This I'm afraid could be a winning combination. Excellent manager and excellent coach.

Thankfully we've already played them once. We usually play teams just after they appoint a new manager, and we all know how that usually turns out.

Also very good coach for Wales, pity he didn’t succeed as our Manager!

If Hughton is an excellent manager why was he sacked???

You could ask the same for Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, etc etc. Most managers get sacked. Very few retire.
Are you saying Chris Hughton is not a good manager?

Can't think of another job where people are continually sacked and re-employment elsewhere in the same role

My apologies to Alex Ferguson, I meant to say Arsene Wenger, and meant to say not many retire like Alex Ferguson.

Maybe he is just a great coach but not suited to management.

Mike Whelan is another one.

How many times has Warnock been sacked? Yet he still manages to get another job! most Football managers only last a couple of years before moving on for another pay off!
