New Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton reportedly wants to make Fulham's Anthony Knockaert his first signing.

Hughton replaced Sabri Lamouchi in the City Ground hot-seat on Tuesday following the Reds' poor start to the season.

According to The Athletic, Hughton is keen to bring in winger Knockaert, who has also been linked to Cardiff City, on a loan deal.

The 28-year-old helped Fulham win promotion to the Premier League last season but has found his first-team opportunities limited so far this term.

Cardiff were linked with the player a couple of weeks ago but the reports were thought to be agent-driven rather than any concrete interest from the Bluebirds
