Some of those figures, Stoke City in particular, are more than shocking; although the Derby County figures are a little confusing as those quoted should see them lower in the table

I think the Bluebirds figures are pretty much as expected (even slightly low) but we must remember that other factors, such as a benefactor putting money in, would not necessarily be reflected in 'net spending'?

I posted a little while ago brentford spent 75m but sold 170m of players.... Chris are the figures you
quoted just what they've spent without sales? But as you know clubs have been very coy with how they financially operate as to avoid ffp rules...

Allan, I'm sure there is a level of misinformation/coyness involved; but that generally the figures show the big variance between what was spent and what was brought in by different clubs; the worst (for me) of which is Stoke City

I am also sure that some of those clubs will be sailing close to the wind right now and banking on some kind of success soon. Thankfully, the Bluebirds are not currently in that (struggling) group, although I'd like to see the 'success' bit :thumbright:

Think certain clubs are using the 2 for 1 years in regards to ffp as a way to spend extra in the hope it gets them promoted! Shef wed springs to mind seem to be splashing the cash even with wealthy owners they are limited in what can put into club..... suspect going to be several clubs next season fall foul of ffp and plead covid as excuse for their losses.. we may not like citys spending but it's taken long time to get strait no point in undoing things at this time especially...

Do these figures mean that we are the 3rd biggest spenders in the current Championship?

Not necessarily but it might be the case. The figures above simply show the difference between what was spent and what was brought in, so actual 'debt' may not align
