500th game for Marlon Pack

It's always nice to recognise a milestone and one slipped under our noses on Saturday afternoon.

On the same day Neil Warnock took charge of his 1,500th match as a manager, Marlon Pack strode out for his 500th professional game.

The 29-year-old's career began at Portsmouth and took in loan spells at Wycombe, Dagenham and Redbridge and Cheltenham, eventually moving to the latter on a permanent deal back in 2012.

After two seasons there he made the switch to Bristol City, where he grew to become a crucial player, spending six years there before his switch to the Bluebirds in August 2019.

His City career started like a steam train, but he fell out of favour towards the back end of last season.

It has to be said, though, he has been one of Cardiff's most consistent players at the start of this campaign with his leadership, organisation skills, defensive qualities and assuredness in the middle of the park.

So, a big congrats to him for 500 games!

Not a great fan of his but have to admit that's a pretty impressive number of games for someone who is only 29.
