SENDINGS OFF HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED

Sun Oct 04, 2020 7:11 pm

I remember years gone by we loved our players fighting or hitting out
Paul millar often did it and many others and we applauded them off the pitch after a sending off we called it passion
We often sang for our player to snap his legs or knock him out..
These days its frowned upon maybe back then it was the only thing on the pitch to get excited about :laughing6:

What's change is the players attitude to the game? Take today lamela got a feather in the face he slowly went down and then looked as if hit by Mike Tyson..... yet he did same to martial who just stood there result martial red card lamela yellow.... happens all the time now same when tackled touched with feather and acts as if leg broken... var does sfa other than encourage this by giving red cards and penalties...

The ref should have just said cut it out you pair of knobs. Ross Berkeley did the European 6-7 rolls after a bad tackle today. Should have been sent off for being a pansy. Football is finished.

The other bit of cheating that is encouraged by var is players deliberately put their leg in front or between opponents leg to get penalty or dangerous free kicks.... you can see the deliberate movement of the leg yet they side with attacker do encouraging it more

I sometimes wonder whether most referees or lawmakers have ever kicked a ball let alone played eleven a side. We all know getting a clip on the leg doesn't hurt most of the time but professional players hold their legs and writhe around as if they had a red hot poker stuck up their jacksey. And the referees fall for it. Pathetic. Go down the lower leagues and you rarely see it. Are we to believe that tackles hurt more the higher the standard of football.

Yes the higher you go ygr more players play on it in hope getting opponent booked or sent off..... like lamela yesterday sure if he just stood there martial probably gets booked unless the useless var official rules on it... :o
