Shame, I have supported Harris and thought he had a backbone. I have my criticisms of Neil Warnock, but he would not have backed down like this.
Next thing Harris will be saying he "misspoke".

Maybe he didn’t. He came into a press conference off the back of a defeat in a game that he thought we should have won - maybe he was just pissed off when asked the question about Patterson.
His comment today is totally plausible. I’d take more from the comments that Patterson made who clearly felt he wasn’t wanted here - seems to be more of an issue with those two than with the board.

So your saying Neil Harris has only said all this to the media because we lost to Reading![]()
And then Dalman comes out and denies it like an MP, so then suddenly Harris totally does a UTURN , Hmmmmm?
Harris also said we needed many new positions and now he says this squad is better than what finished last season

Undoubtedly told to dampen down expectations.
Dalman must think we are stupid.

No, what I’m saying is it’s a complete nothing story - if he hadn’t said the one line ‘you might know more than me’ (which is plausible post game) there would be absolutely nothing in this story. The rest of it is what you hear football managers saying every day.
And then Patterson comments strongly suggest he wasn’t favoured by Harris - ‘I wasn’t needed anymore...good to be where I’m wanted’...looking forward to playing with a smile on my face again ’
The fact that he hadn’t been played by him this season and barely post lock down would back that up.
I suspect people are looking for more reasons to stick the knife in to the board.

Probably has played for the reserves since He is 21 and seems to be coming on at the pace of a snail moving through treacle. He hasn't played a proper competitive game for 9 months.Like everyone else I would love to see some youngsters coming through but you can't help wonder if someone was not good enough for Wreham nine months ago he must have improved a hell of a lot to ge good enough for championship football now. Might happen of course but not very likely.

If they arnt good enough he can't play them. Sure you've said that on here a few times about our youth players. Harris has been here less than a year, he can't pull youth players out of his arse straight into the starting 11. Still a poor return, but harris has involved the youngsters more than our last few managers.

ive said it loads of times. its not exactly rocket science either.. . yet he turns up and pretends he can pull them out his arse as you say.. yes it is less than a year...so achieve first mouth about it second........and no warnock was already pushing players up through the age groups and the academy was in the process of a revamp when this bloke arrived ,check it out its all documented here and in the press... and while at it check previous managers using kids against this bloke...he has used less than any of them...

Warnock left us with one of the oldest squads in the divisionBellamy came out and said there was no opportunity for youth to progress. The youth setup might have been changed but that was not down to warnock. The fact that bringing down the average age of the squad is part of our transfer policy says a lot about our recent transfer history.
So because Harris has said he wants to create a pathway to the first team for youth players (isn't that what we all want?) , 7months down the line, you think we should have team full of youngsters? These are the players you defended warnock for not playing as they weren't good enough. Is it harris fault that they have not turned into championship players in the short time hes been here?

whats the age of the squad got to do with the academy not having quality... or rather his academy remarks? and no i didnt expect anything , as said i KNEW it was hot air ..., i actually believe our previous managers and academy managers. why wouldnt you when player after player when leaving goes down 4 levels or more.... thats the point isnt it.. if its not there its simply not there, if you or anyone else became ,manager tomorrow i really wouldnt expect you to magically bring players through either.... but i doubt your a bull shitter so probably your first few interviews wouldnt be full of bull shit about academy players... not unless you were pretty confident there were a few close to a first team call up anyway...
