Are we running out of money?

Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:56 am

With Tan having to fund 3 clubs with at the moment no income from tickets are we running out of money?

That would explain the selling of Etheridge and Patterson and the rumours around Ralls up for sale at 3 million.

Tan must have taken a personal financial hit during this pandemic and just maybe he has told his clubs the bank is closed and you must he self financing for the time being.

There is no doubt Tan’s businesses have taken a huge hit financially over the last 6 months

I would suggest there is very little money in the pot and even less next year when we lose our parachute payments

I tend to agree with you, that's why I don't see us bringing in any big signings just one or two loans and I still see more players leaving.

If Tan doesn't invest he loses money, why would he do that ?

In reality we are the 5th highest spenders this window in the championship

It makes no financial sense to sell everyone for pennies and not put anything in to the team

The more he invests the better we perform the more we earn as a club both by attendances and promotions

Put nothing in and sell everyone ends up with poor performances low crowds and relegation which means he loses even more.

We have spent over £2 million this window plus two premier league loan players

Maybe the money is available and Harris just can't attract the players ?

Everyone is so quick to blame Tan when he's invested hundreds of millions and kept this club financially secure for a decade. He deserves more respect from a lot of our fans .

Nobody is blaming Tan for anything!!

Just pointing out his businesses have taken a financial hammering over the last six months and he probably hasn’t got a lot of spare cash to spend at the moment

Even multi millionaires have too tighten their belts at times

Where in my original post have I blamed Tan for anything? Yes we have spent 2 million on a striker but we all know it's a creative midfielder we are crying out for.

1 striker bought 1 right back and for what I've seen 1 poor winger bought in so far.

I just think Tan has taken a personal hit in this pandemic and is now looking at ways his clubs can compete and survive without him having to pump in millions every year.
