With an increasing number of people not paying for a TV licence, what are people's thoughts on paying/not paying it.

Don't have an issue with (paying) it personally, as it keeps the adverts off the Beeb and I think the quality of programme is good in the main

Outdated. Adverts to pay for this antiquated enforced tax

Hi Chris, what gets me is the fact that we have to pay a license even if we do not watch bbc, I watch very little terrestrial tv , but still have to pay a license even if I do not watch bbc. A license is needed if you watch any live tv

No adverts on the BBC - pull the other one.

Almost as bad as ITV etc for ads that are wrapped around programmes for other rubbish BBC output.

The funding method for the BBC is archaic and needs scrapping - it needs to be properly subscription based like Sky or ad based like ITV.

Good value for money and no adverts to suffer.

The licence fee seems rather excessive for the privilege of not having a few minutes of adverts in between programmes. Also, it seems unfair that a fee should be paid to one company with all the choice of alternative channels these days.

They are politically bias, I despise them,I haven’t bought a licence for nearly 20years.

The amount of money the BBC gets through DCMS is astranomical.

I was genuinly shocked when I worked on it.

Name me a Beeb programme that is directly stopped during broadcast for adverts? :?

Them promoting themselves in between programmes is no issue to me; it's the constant intervals of other television media (even ITV are getting longer and longer American-style 'breaks' nowadays) and it spoils a lot of programmes to the point I now record most stuff, so I can bypass the adverts and get on with the programme(s) I wish to watch. That way, I save both time (on adverts I have little or no interest in) and money (from not falling for the advertisers charms)

Telly works perfectly with or without a license ;)

The BBC is great value for money for what they produce. However, there is good argument to have a subscription based funding model for the specific output you access.

When they decided the over 75s would have to pay I decided that I would no longer pay for the licence.
