How is it that other clubs in the championship can buy our players and pay their high wages when we after receiving £36 million pounds have to offload anybody who isn’t playing in the first team And need to replace them with loan players unproven i;this league.

Looks like Vinny is getting ready to bail out to me ?

Maybe a Ryan Reynolds like Celebrity is lined up !!! FAT CHANCE :sad7:

Or, Maybe it is just a clever way to bypass this years FFP rules ?

Whatever the reasoning behind it , we live in hope as always.

Of course they don’t.

Only the sales which help the club count as bad work from our club. The signings never count.

Maybe they did what we did and got rid of players off books who were not wanted and replaced them with other players? Need to take look at all the clubs ins and outs to check......... whether they can they afford them is questionable Lot clubs living outside there means who are going to feel the pinch if not promoted....easy to critisise or speculate without knowing facts and figures involved.

I think it's a balancing act for everyone but it certainly raises questions that (maybe) only Vincent Tan can answer

My personal feeling is that Vincent Tan is trying to rid the club of its debt and assuming that is the case, I say fair play to him

Is he readying to leave/sell?

I've heard both end of that hypothesis (he wants to sell and/or he wants to get us back into the Premier League before making that decision) and the truth seems to be that no one really knows

Either way, we have to have a competitive squad, if we are to put in a challenge. I think we have the base but we need a few additions to cover the important bases when/if injuries/suspensions occur

Harris. Yes man. Says what he is told. Academy believer. Encourage the youth. His mate in charge. Off load the promising.

Sell. Sell. Sell.

Already a journeyman manager.

Promoted above his ability.

No nuts.

Wanted to believe he's the man to take us forward. Looking totally unlikely.

Covid break somehow galvanised the squad that is being torn apart.

Go figure.

So we receive 36 million but what about the outgoings? Who covers and pays them the tooth fairy?

Its worrying me, im annoyed we sold patterson for nothing in my view but what concerns me more is Harris saying he didnt know about it and dalman saying Harris knew all about it as he is the manager.

We offload Ward who was a proven goal scorer in the championship and was great for us coming off the bench .

We sack a player ok not the clubs fault but still have to replace him we havent .

We played 3 games lost 2 and deserved to lose, and beat forest but lets be honest forest have issues with defending so I feel we have gone backwards and still going backwards I am dreading this season

Danny ward scored 12 goals over 3 seasons. Scored a few off the bench but was inconsistent when started. Very injury prone as well. Think it was the right decision not to renew his contract.

As far as can see whole of championship clubs have spent 12.5m loads frees or loans with undisclosed making up the rest! Norwich spent most 5m on a player. :o so despite lots activity not much actual cash paid more about wages..

Now don't spoil their fun,the same posters keep banging on about the 36m we recieved, like we have that spare to spend ;) forgetting there is a gaping hole in revenue due to non attenance.conveniently skipping the fact wages have to be paid still, there are 19 separate threads surrounding paterson in some form or another, mainly digs at the club hierarchy imho.
The club has to cut its cloth accordingly in these times,if they don't we could be in shit street next year?
That being said,Sheffield Wednesday are (were?) Willing to pay 25k a week for Zohore on loan, even after their punishment, they seem willing to push the boat out still? They shouldn't even be in this division for a start :banghead: I suppose they have to,with their points deduction, in a bid to stay in the championship. :old: :bluebird:

If and when this Covid nightmare ends, will fan be allowed back to CCS? If so. how many will want to pay to watch the football being served up? Over last weekend, Cardiff, Newport and Swansea were all available to watch on TV, Only one lost, and it was easy to see why

I don't think championship clubs are spending huge amounts of money and where they are spending at all it is usually a small proportion of the money they have got from selling players to premier league clubs or they have rich owners who don't mind losing money for a while. I think the way the is government and all the opposition parties are hysterically panicking about the virus not only will fans not be admitted to stadiums in any numbers this season it may well extend into next season as well driving many clubs into bankruptcy. I think Cardiff are actually being mg quite sensible. The only flaw in the plan is our youth system is so utterly useless we can't rely on it to produce any players capable of playing above league two level and not even many of them capable of that level.

i just mentioned this on another post, but i am sure it was either said on sky sports or i read it, that FFP has been stopped during this whole covid thing, allowing teams to spend what they want within reason
