A Shit Transfer window ????????

Wed Sep 30, 2020 12:22 pm

Having read all the gloom and doom on here I would offer the following theory.
Having viewed previous transfer windows i would offer the fact that in the light of the covid crisis presenting clubs with severe financial issues, the plan by the club was to get the players who were going to leave out through the door before anyone else comes through that door. If you look at the previous practice of grabbing players at the drop of a hat ( Warnock style ) which resulted in a blouted squad as an example was three senior goal-keepers.

I would like to think that we have now cleared the decks and the next few days should show a positive movement, we certainly dont have any dead-wood or surplus players left :old: :ayatollah:

P.S. we will never be able to offload an injured player in the shape of Vassel

I am hoping this is the case. In theory it sounds good. But unless we see 1 or 2 additions before the window closes then this season is going to ge an uphill battle with the squad we currently have. Would definitely see a few youngsters involved as it stands.

bit like last year you mean.. when the 3 loan signings had gone back , gunner and manga went abroad ,sol was out for months. and rhys healey, o keefe , zohore and kadeem all went early in the window prior to us spending anything..

tthe squad is too thin and anyone worth their salt being loaned out by other clubs id imagine will be attracting plenty of interest..
