Every year!

Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:46 pm

Is it me,or am I imagining this, every season we are told by some posters, that this is a poor weak division, when in my opinion it gets tougher and tougher with each season, what with all the prem teams coming down, especially those who have been there a couple of years, thus entitling them to extra parachute payment!I don't get this "weaker divisor, poorer division" what's your thoughts on this? ? :old: :bluebird:

Totally agree, it gets tougher every year as more and more of the Premier League money spills down.

They just use that excuse to justify their baby like antics after we lose a game.

To be frank, I don’t think it’s a poor division this year. Stoke are in better form, Watford and Bournemouth are in our division after being in the prem for quite some time, Brentford, Forest, Blackburn, Norwich are all strong contenders for promotion/playoffs while you’ve also got potential contenders in Huddersfield, Middlesborough, Bristol City and Reading

I was not surprised tbf,but it's the same every year, usually by the same few, always setting targets, and if they are not achieved, it's a feather in their caps, as it's a "failure" I've noticed 19 threads around paterson and his sale,a lot having a right dig at the hierarchy :?

In these times, books have to be carefully balanced, wages have to be met etc etc,but conveniently forgetting them factors, rather concentrate on the "£36m" recieved in parachute payments!! With the sale of etheridge and paterson, they have saved £2m in wages, for two non starting players, and made a little profit in doing so,rare at the club in all honesty.there will probably be no crowds for the season,or if there are, very small numbers, thus a huge loss in revenue,my question to these posters would be...
Who is paying the bills at present? And what is the current wage bill?? And don't forget the sala issue is about to reach a resolution, and if the club lose, that must also be in the clubs minds surely? :old: :bluebird:

To be honest, according to some on here Tan has been on the verge of selling the club for the last 5 years! Hell of a big verge that!!!

Plus my favourite at the moment is "Bad bit of business by the club that" says Dai Twp ( whos only business dealing experience he's had is selling a Gameboy on Ebay)

It's so obvious though  last count 24 threads around paterson  all with negative poSt's attached, imo a not too well hidden go at the owner, manager, board  I read that post you mention, made me giggle in truth.

These threads are started by the usual suspects, all because they hate tan,and didn't want Harris appointment, so it seems they look for the littlest small scab (sales of players, not enough new players, and especially the 36m from parachute payments ) and thrive on picking that scab,in the hope it bleeds!!

What makes me laugh,is if you defend tan,you get accused of making "everything" about tan :laughing5: then when you ask for evidence, they ignore your request :? A true sign that there is no evidence to me :? Yes we are lucky indeed, that we have that payment, otherwise we would be up shit creek, without a paddle :(
and I read a post by Annis, that tan has had his money back, ages ago?? Really  the plain and simple facts are, nearly every business has to cut its cloth due to covid, them posters will moan that we shouldn't sell, then my question to them is simple;who is,and has for a long time, paying the bills,no revenue from attendances looking more and more likely, and for the whole season, means a big hole in revenues, for every club from the prem down. To keep players on nearly a million pound a year, when they aren't in the managers plans, would be stupid to say the least.and the fees we receive from them sales, however little, will be a big saving grace.we are the 5th highest spenders in our division to date, times are tough for all clubs. :old: :bluebird:
