MY VIEW / OPINION

THIS EXACTLY WHAT CARDIFF FANS HAD BEEN CALLING FOR / DESIRE / FIGHT & PASSION /SOLID DEFENDING & A GOAL SCORER :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

AFTER TWO CONSECUTIVE DEFEATS FOR CARDIFF & FOREST, CARDIFF CITY WERE THE ONES WHO GOT BACK TO WINNING WAYS :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff get their first win of the season & a clean sheet :bluebird:

Cardiff City made one change bringing in Marlon Pack, who had a very good game :thumbright: :bluebird:

Joe Ralls made some great runs :bluebird:

Smithie also made some great saves for Cardiff City :bluebird:

NEW STRIKER MOORE SCORES TWICE TO SECURE 3PTS AWAY FROM HOME :bluebird: :bluebird:

What a start for Cardiff, new striker Moore scored in the 3rd min :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:
0-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Nottingham Forest had lost their last five home league matches against Cardiff City

First-half: Dominated by Cardiff and deserved their 2nil lead :bluebird: :bluebird:

2nd-half: Forest dominated with Smithies making some excellent saves.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0 CARDIFF CITY 2 :bluebird: :bluebird:
H/T 0-2 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff City:(4-3-3): Smithies; Osei-Tutu, Morrison, Nelson, Bennett; Pack, Bacuna, Ralls; Ojo, Moore, Hoilett.

Subs: Day, Bamba, Vaulks, Tomlin, Whyte, Paterson, Glatzel.

What a start for Cardiff, new striker Moore scored in the 3rd min :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:
0-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Marlon Pack clipped in an inviting corner and Kieffer Moore rose miles above everyone else, got the run on his marker and powered home an emphatic header! :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

The only other real chance from Cardiff in the first-half

Hoilett released Moore on the halfway line and the forward drove all the way towards the edge of the box before sliding Ralls in for a one on one, but the midfielder just mis-controledit and Samba collects. Big chance for Cardiff wasted.

Forest hardly created anything.

Then in the 40th min Moore scored his 2nd goal, yes 0-2 , a great tap in from a header from Sean Morrison :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

H-T 0-2 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

52nd min, great save by Smithie, one handed , tipped over the bar :thumbright: :bluebird:

Forest controlled the first 15mins of this half.

Smithie made another save this time a shot from Sammy Ameobi .

Ralls had a good chance.

Smithie made yet another save.
And then another one.

74th min
Forest sub: Guerrero on, Grabban off.

Cardiff sub: Vaulks on, Ojo off.

78th min
Junior Hoilett off, Lee Tomlin on.

82nd min
Joe Bennett came off clutching his leg. Must be an injury.

Sol Bamba came on.

Forest virtually dominated the 2d-half.

Cardiff stayed solid and defened well :bluebird: :bluebird:

A very good and important win today.

Kieffer Moore was very good. Marlon Pack and Alex Smithies also played well.

Second half we were on the back foot but Forest were always going to have to go for it at 2-0 down.

A deserved win and this makes up for last week.

The fact that Kieffer Moore didn't have to wait long to get his first goal for us will be crucial I think.

Important we kick on now against Reading next week.

Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"The team is losing, but I'm losing too. This is my job. I believe I am the right manager to get out of this situation.

"We have the players we want, we just need to find the right solution. We have lost six points and we can't accept that.

"I didn't want to wait until the break (to make a tactical change). We probably needed to do more and to be more solid."

Re: MY VIEW: THIS EXACTLY WHAT CARDIFF FANS HAD BEEN CALLING

Cardiff City manager Neil Harris told BBC Radio Wales:

"I am really pleased in so many ways with the performance.

"I am really pleased for the big man (Kieffer More) getting off the mark. His all-round play was excellent.

"The team responded well to the criticism that we hadn't started the season very well, everything came to fruition on the pitch.

"The first half was exactly how I want my Cardiff City side to play, now and in the future. In the second half we dug in and that's a good sign too... against a good Forest side."

Yes organised fit playing excellent football to feet - physically working hard determination in each player- Wide players either side of Kiefor Moore must improve or be replaced- Ojo new arrival drifts out of games Hoilett a fantastic servant but can he go again- Mendez Laing issue leaves us short Action must be taken to make us potent in final third - Murphy such a disappointment needs resolving ASAP

Good report Annis.
Tbf you always report it as it is. Sh!t performance and you call it, good performance with guts and you call it.
I’ve said it before mate, I don’t always agree with your views on players / tactics but nobody can deny you want the best for the club. Respect.

A performance that showed both sides of the City today; the one that made the game 'comfortable' in the first half and the one that sat back a little and absorbed a fair bit of pressure without really giving too much away :thumbright:

Forest could/should have scored but they didn't and the Bluebird supporters should be happy that this performance saw a return to the standards of the post-coved era of last season

We went to Albert Adomahland wanting our annual three points and we got them...

HAPPY DAYS! :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird: :D

I like to be honest and how I really feel about how we play, I only want the best for our club and maybe my passion runs away with it sometimes.

I would rather posters give their true views on our players and if we disagree that’s what this forum is all about opinions :bluescarf: :bluebird:

A win is a win and fair play to Neil Harris and his team  Disappointed with the way the second went as we never really created much and quite lucky not to concede.
Smithies sold as usual and Moore MOTM.

Great to see Kieffer Moore getting a brace - have we found a 20 goal a season striker? Hope so.

I believe if we improve our crossing he will be close to 20+ this season.

Glass half empty for me.
City will struggle away against teams who press us and at pace.
We don’t possess the quality to break at pace ie to counter a pressing game without the likes of Tomlin and Murphy on form as eg at Huddersfield, Preston & Boro away last season.
As for home games City don’t have the ability to create and our wingers are poor so for me it’s a false dawn today.
It’s still totally obvious City need to bring in a right back (Christie went from Fulham to Forest - he’s have been perfect) and a winger to replace Hoilett and NML - that is unless Whyte transforms into a better player & Murphy shows consistency.

ps I’d have been surprised if we hadn’t have won today as Forest are a shambles. Reading will be all over us next Saturday.

Forest were very poor first half and Moore capitalised. Second half zero service and non existent. Glatzel showed back end of season what he’s capable of. We know what Moore is capable of. We have 2 decent strikers, and you’re right, we need better service/crosses to them. Without that Moore will not get 20+ chances like he had, he’ll need to work hard to make his own chances. So no, I don’t think we have got a 20+ striker as we don’t create enough.

Unless Harris addresses this it’s going to be a long season and most people will start bemoaning moore saying he’s crap as they do with every striker.

We still need to change the midfield if we want promotion. We more pace and creativity. Pack, Ralls, Vaulks and Bacuna are all the same type. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
