ETHERIDGE SALE WAS A SHOCKER

Fri Sep 11, 2020 12:22 pm

Etheridge in my opinion is a £5 Million player and is a highly talented professional who if we stayed in the premier league would off got sold for at least £10 Million. I think the whole thing dont seem right and its a disgrace to his ability to be sold at just 800k.

But Etheridge probably wanted to play and he was not been given the chance with Smithies in goal and the club clearly wanted to put his wages off there books so happy all round really. I just think the club let him go too cheaply when he still has the incredible talent and ability in goal. But as for Etheridge I mean what can you say about him that we dont already know, he has been a fantastic player for us throughout his time with us with wonderful saves in the Premier League and us bluebirds fans will miss having him around the club. Good luck to Etheridge for the rest of his football career. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Depending upon who you believe deal worth up to 2m ... and you can only sell a player what others willing to pay? 10mnths left on contract means you cannot ask what may be considered market price for him so choice is keep him as backup and goes for nothing or sell him at whatever price someone will pay and lose his wages of the bill.! Theres no in between unfortunately

I find it ironic its Birmingham he is going to.

I recall them scoring from the half way line with him in goal. Perhaps the worse game he ever played for us.

Allan, Media Wales never and did not have a clue.
They just took my £2mill and twisted it.

Its £800.000 upfront, £200,000 if Etheridge plays over 20 games this season, another add on if Brum get promoted, plus Cardiff save on £1mill in wages and thats why they have said the deal could be worth more than £2mill

I cant say how I know, but its from in,both clubs on this one :thumbright: :thumbright:

Etheridge had no other choice to leave as he was not going to get first team football, City wanted the money and the saving of wages,

My big worry is Day??????????????????
