Didn't we pay 6M for him?

He would almost be like a new signing if he can get in the team.

Expected him or Bennet to be moved on to be honest. Same situation as Smithies and Etheridge, both too good to be sitting on the bench and id imagine both are on a good wage. Ideally we can hang onto him. But he pushed for a move last season because he wasn't playing. This might be something he wants rather than the club.

I get your point, but to have any chance of going up,I believe we need to keep him,as we invested a lot into him and rehab, might as well be the one's to benefit, what if Bennett gets injured? I don't like players filling in from their normal place in the team, like bacuna for instance, for me it's midfield where he is best, does ok when asked to switch, but would rather a player in who is in his normal position in the side, just my opinion of course  we paid 4m for him too,and in today's climate, would do well to recoup half of that,if we were lucky. :old: :bluebird:

With you on that  the championship is a marathon, some believe we should move either Bennett or Cunningham on too?? We need good cover in all positions, especially in defence, goalkeeper too,but I understand the maths make sense to let etheridge leave, and we made a profit on him, rather novel for us  with laing and etheridge gone, let's hope Harris can bring a few more in,hopefully with some experience, as I'm all for bringing youngsters on,but I also see the dangers of throwing them in the deep end so to speak.I believe etheridge will be number one at brum, and they have a quality keeper for a small outlay.good luck to him I say,but hope he has two howlers against us  :old: :bluebird:

the danger...its what happened to Derby season just gone ... they started fine on the restart , but picked up one injury after another,, ended up playing loads of kids and losing 4 on the bounce.

Which would demoralise some kids, and set them back somewhat. :old: :bluebird:
