still hasnt ? we had a very good run at the end of last season and our wide players were our strength not our weakness..

NML too injury prone gone and never stays fit long enough to build up full sharpness. Not good enough for a side looking to go up now

Good run yes but those wingers lacked quality and goals throughout the full season to get us where we need to be. Nothing will change this season

well we didnt finish fifth because we had a top end striker...or a an attacking midfielder that would skip a tackle and put it in the net, so not sure how we scored all those goals...

Tbh I don’t give a sheet about this cup and by Harris’ own admission we played like it was a pre season friendly. I’d be more concerned if we did our best and lost. You watch, we’ll be excellent on Saturday.

Me neither, season is long enough now,especially with covid!! And the jacks would have a field day,if we won it and had the audacity to brag about it,after all the shite we have thrown their way,about it being a tin pot trophy etc.
As you say,if we had put a gargantuan effort in,and lost,I'd be a little concerned, as is?...bring on Wednesday I say,the season is upon us.onwards and upwards.

Two of those wingers were here when we went up. Another scored and set up goals in the premier league.

There’s some shite spouted you know.

Firstly Mendez couldn't play due to personal issues. So we will not know about him until the first game at least, Hoilett is an ok winger for us but he has lost his ability to run pass players due to age, Murphy god knows but I bet it didn't help playing him in midfield and Gavin Whyte not got a scooby doo what he is up to.

Personally I would let every one of our wingers go except for of course Mendez-Laing. And maybe Murphy due to him being pacey when he wants to be. BUT the biggest thing is that the match was a cup match and there was no points on the line, so its a way to get the team to gel together and work on different tactics. So who knows.

I think its best to lose now so you can learn from the mistakes and then when the season comes up you can improve and get better in terms of the togetherness within the team with the new signings.
