A bad result that was today no matter which way you look at it we had a strong team out but maybe that was just to give players a run out before next week opener against Sheffield wednesday I haven’t seen any of the game today so I can’t comment on performances but it still a bad defeat for me looks to me there won’t be any cup runs this season so all I hope that we are in the top Six coming into Christmas because if we go out of the fa cup early it’s going to be a long winter more so if the crowds are not back as well it looks to me neal Harris is going all out for promotion putting all is eggs in one basket hoping he get promotion through the play offs or automatic promotion and with less cup runs I hope hes right

had he fielded the under 23s id agree but he fielded what was his strongest possible team... so no idea how that was putting all his eggs in one basket...

Has I said in the beginning of the post even though he put a strong team out I think it was to give players more play time ready for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday I think most of the championship sides won’t be to bothered about going out of the cup because there main focus is getting to the premier league I like cup football and cup runs but a lot of mangers now don’t want any distractions let see where we are by Christmas

yes its obviously giving game time... but the eggs in one basket remark suggests he picked a team to lose ?
previous managers have all played weaker teams with some kids and took criticism from some for doing so. .this fella picked his strongest 11..

I think Harris would have picked a weaker team if we where in normal times because we would have played a few leagues by know and preparation would have been different but like all other clubs the preparation is different going into the start of this new season when you consider the 2019 /2020 season only finished a few weeks ago let’s hope we see a different city on Saturday and don’t forget kiefer Moore will probably be in the side on Saturday with a few other changes as well

At least there is always the FA Cup in January 2021...AND another shining light is that the jacks are out.

i'm always disapointed when go out of the cups at the first hurdle, i always feel they are a great oppotunity to bleed through some of the younger players where the pressure is off.

they have lost a lot of appeal for me , and looking at crowds many..
and managers just cant win.... previous managers have been criticised for not fielding stronger teams by some... yet for others they would like fringe and younger players to have game time...

Normally I would welcome a cup run,but we are not in normal times, and will be squeezing extra games in,as we start late this year.not that I believe he set out to purposely lose, but I'm not that bothered by that cup, love the drama of the FA cup better
