Lucy just picked up the girls up from their first session back for the swimming club which was great but the clowns from the Assembly have made it compulsory that you have to take your kids straight from the pool to the car in their swimwear & towels whilst they are still wet and are unable to use the changing rooms!
My biggest concern is that these tinpot politicians love the power and micro managing of us and will never relinquish the control long after the virus finally disappears!

I agree Roger, biggest ever waste of tax payers money.
- Boris’ Garden bridge cost £60m without ever being built.
- HS2 will cost over £40 billion to reduce the train time from Birmingham to London by 20 minutes.
- Over £300m spent to convert the Olympic Stadium for West Ham. West Ham’s annual rent doesn’t even cover the costs of running the stadium for an entire season.
- Iraq and Afghanistan wars cost £20 billion.
- Billions of pounds siphoned off to Tory party friends and donors with sham PPE contracts.
- Current cost of Brexit is estimated to be £130 billion and we haven’t even left yet. Not built the infrastructure required to handle Brexit.
A 45m pound building down the bay is a drop in an ocean of wasted taxes since the Senedd was opened. I’m not a fan of the current crop of politicians that occupy but I’m also not a fan of the idiots occupying Westminster currently but I’m not gonna ask for us to abolish Westminster.

Agree with you on that. Annoys me when people get sucked into the “he's one of us, he’s a man of the people” bollocks that Farage and Johnson have successfully pulled off. They’re rich, upper class, Eton boys who would snub almost all of us as friends and co workers but because Farage pulled a pint in a pub for a pic once and Johnson has messy hair people buy into the idea these politicians represent them.

The £130 billion you quote is an estimate? So where did you get this estimate from and how long is this amount spread over?
Further I'm sure there there will be an estimate out there somewhere which estimates a smaller amount or even shows us making money out of BREXIT as we will no longer be paying EU contributions and the UK will receive far more in tariff charges from the EU than they will pay us because they export far more to us than we do to them.
Personally I don't recognise the £130 billion figure quoted and even if someone puts their hands up to it I will guaranteed it is some remain supporter misusing worst case scenario data.

Do I think the majority of the people who voted were swayed by this? No, but I do believe a fair few people voted based on the character rather than their policies.

Bloomberg Economics did the research, they’re an international news company based in New York. They took the estimated growth of the British economy before Brexit and compared it to when they did they’re research which gave them a figure of our economy being ~130b smaller than predicted. I’m not an economist but I would imagine this was all based on less skilled workers emigrating here, more skilled workers leaving (on a personal note, I know several people who before Covid were making serious inquiries about moving abroad as a direct result of Brexit), companies leaving the UK, the impact on tourism.
Like I said it’s estimates. I also doubt it takes into account the cost of 20+ lorry parks we need built before January which haven’t started yet.
As for EU contributions, over 47 years we paid £217b into the EU so roughly £5b a year which in terms of international finances is a paltry figure. As for lower import fees on products it’s because you get a lower quality product, take America’s chlorinated chicken for example. We don’t have the sway or power to dictate all these brilliant deals for the UK so we’re settling for whatever countries offer us.

the trouble with all of that ,is people ,joe blogs or bloomberg just do not know... if you set out to do a negative report that is what you end up with... likewise a positive one.. lots of maybes about companies re locating, losing skilled workers and lorry parks... i didnt vote at the time because there was no definite just people claiming there was on either side about a host of things ... i would vote leave now though because A } much of the predicted immediate collapse / negatives did not materialise so why believe their other predictions ? B} i believe in democracy... and C } i keep reading things like this that are in no way fact based....and are using guesstimates..

I’d guess the current labour leader is also pretty rich mate as are pretty much all politicians. All as bad as each other imo.
