Fans back at football / Hmmmmm?

Brighton v Chelsea on the weekend

The actual attendance was 2,500 not 3,500 in a 25,000 capacity

It’s a start I suppose

UK Govt says hopefully 30% capacity in October / but Welsh Govt Drakeford says not that early

No chance for us this season with Drakeford in charge and I won't be holding my breath for next season either.

It was such a false scenario which proved nothing! Try using same system with 8k fans and it will mean long ques to get in ground fans miss start 2nd half because of wait for toilets unless the allocate time during game to go? Besides fact that most grounds in England
the concourse areas are to small to accommodate more than 100 fans without stepping on toes!! ..... time to make choice either let in fans or not cannot have halfway house or clubs will disappear at a fast rate....

What’s the difference between sitting on a plane with a mask on and sitting in a football stadium with a mask on?

Masks were not required to be worn in stadium bowl hence no one sitting directly behind someone... only required inside concourse areas & toilets except when eating/drinking..

If you can let 200 people on a plane wearing masks and I can’t see any problem letting about 8k in a stadium Wearing masks.

The problem is space not masks... if you've been to way games in championship or premier league you will see what I mean? Every building in uk is suppose to have social distancing in place football stadiums is no different... so logistically putting 8k in stadium with restrictions is nowhere near the same as 2.5k in a stadium that holds 20k!

I understand what your saying but having been on a plane recently I would Feel safer in our stadium (8k) than a packed out plane.

Everyone seems to be fixated on masks and not considering that fact that your just as likely to get it touching an infected surface, something even Drakeford has to consider but not so much on here it seems.

Technically everytime you touch something outside your own environment you need to wash hands now to me that is impossible to do unless OCD sufferer.....but you are of higher risk touching something than breathing in air probably..

Arsenal hoping to get fans in for their game against sheff utd on 3rd oct! Also barbarians at twickers on oct 29th will have 20k fans if corvid situation allows. What this shows is stadiums will be at reduced capacity well into new year...
