Corona do dah testing.

I do find it peculiar that the media/Govt now talk about 'Coronavirus' when the specific China Plague is 'Covid 19' and use of this specific term seems to have fallen into disuse. Mmmmm.

Anyway.

The New York Times (strong establishment paper) have rather let the cat out of the bag on testing as they report that the commonly used tests -the results of which we are blasted with daily- are so sensitive that they are produce misleading statistics. I believe the test basis is as per the UK.

To quote:
'On Thursday, the United States recorded 45,604 new coronavirus cases, according to a database maintained by The Times. If the rates of contagiousness in Massachusetts and New York were to apply nationwide, then perhaps only 4,500 of those people may actually need to isolate and submit to contact tracing.
One solution would be to adjust the cycle threshold used now to decide that a patient is infected. Most tests set the limit at 40, a few at 37. This means that you are positive for the coronavirus if the test process required up to 40 cycles, or 37, to detect the virus.
Tests with thresholds so high may detect not just live virus but also genetic fragments, leftovers from infection that pose no particular risk — akin to finding a hair in a room long after a person has left, Dr. Mina said.'

(I may be correct in saying that the genetic fragments could be residues from flu/colds)

Who'd have thunk it?!

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/29/heal ... sting.html

The article goes onto discuss more rigorous ways of testing and you can read it for yourself.

Surely the Govt know this and if not they should. So why continue with the cases scare?

why ?
so which government who have destroyed their economy is going to come out and say...we hold our hands up... forget the if you die within 28 days criteria we are just going to count actual covid deaths.. { reducing the total by at least half } oh and while we are at it the test criteria is set too high ....
