I just heard Cardiff City’s Academy relocating to Llanrumney the old doctor who’s building will be used for indoor facilities

I will update more later :bluebird:

I know we have to get cat 1 as we have a large group coming through but big clubs will snap them up for peanuts

We have ruined Swansea on reqruitment over the last 4 years

University playing fields ?

Do those facilities even exist anymore with the demise of Llanrumney High School next door?

Been away from Llanrumney since late 1990's so no idea ?

In the 70's used to walk there during school lunch to try get autograph's of touring Rugby Teams - All Blacks, Tonga, Japan and a lot of the Famous 1970's Welsh squad.

Good days them !!

Club slowly building up quite a portfolio of facilities? When completed there'll be 2 blue domes and 4 house of sports, ( community) training facilities are in partnership with wru (when completed) so should be world class, are they at last looking at academy after years of neglect...

My son trains down at the University playing fields. Good grass pitches and one good 3G pitch. Changing rooms are very average :bluebird:

The SAS had to change their way of doing things. They went from having training staff who tried to get recruits to resign to the new gereration of staff who encouraged recruits to carry on. This change was required due to the fact that it was noticed the new generation of recruits were too sensitive to criticism. Of course the old school objected to this and it took some time to convince them the change was needed. I sometimes think Bellamy fitted into the old school.
