City's first game as a league club was 100 years ago today.

They were playing in the southern league. On the 28th August 1920 they joined the full English league away to Stockport and blew them away 5-2.

Cheers,i have been down the city since Dave Bennett days and didn't know that
admitted into the league the same day as Swansea and Leeds... Leeds and ourselves went into division 2 and Swansea division 3.. we won promotion in out 1st season.. those 2 didnt... oh and we beat Leeds home and away...

And they say times change...!
A great start to our League life, as within a few years we had been promoted to Division One (now Premier League), won the FA Cup, the Charity Shield and reached another FA Cup Final in 1925 (Sheffield United 1 - 0 Cardiff City)
Halcyon days indeed!
