Newport lagging behind

Latest reports suggest Newport is struggling to attract visitors and shoppers since lifting of covid restrictions.

Chancellor Sunak's eat out to help out scheme also returning smaller numbers.

A host of local town councillors have said despite a major investment to bring Newport up to date, it appears vast swathes of shoppers have yet to materialise as hoped.
