agree about a right back being a priority but the squad needs padding out a bit too.. 21 senior players if ive counted correctly.. its a long time since we got through a league season using less than 25 , most years more than that , and this season the games are going to be more condensed

We only need 22? two Senior players for each position and the under 23 players to cover any injuries otherwise our youngsters will never get a chance. In the past particularly with Warnock we have had too many players sitting in the stand picking up their wad!

because..?? i knew what you were getting at youve just named players that were not regulars .. its called a squad, all teams have them....and if he picked those youve named as regulars youd print a list of the 7 excluded for them ... he produced results that exceeded our spending if you take time to compare , its why he gets job after job.. but id say lucky we have them or we wouldnt be making any play offs..

Spent 100m in his three years similar to Malky but couldn’t keep us up, has 7 relegations as well as 8 promotions! Look at Dyche, Pullis or Howe, Managers who get teams promoted with less money and keep them there for several years! Thank Tan for our promotions, let’s hope he backs Harris!

Windass spent the back end of last season on loan with the Owls and could conceivably return there. It is unknown whether Cardiff's interest remains but he would certainly fit the bill.
The trouble with these sorts of players is that they cost money and Cardiff just don't have that disposable cash to hand at the moment, certainly after the Moore acquisition. So it remains to be seen whether they can strike a decent deal for a good No.10 at this level.
The club are, of course, still incredibly happy with Lee Tomlin, who on Sunday was announced as the Bluebirds' Player of the Season, and want him to start in that No.10 role next season.
Tomlin is 31, though, and has endured his injury struggles of late, plagued by a chronic hip problem. City want another playmaker to challenge Tomlin but also act as back-up if he falls foul of injury.

And you are meant to use that squad when things aren't working out yet Warnock was reluctant to use to certain players regardless of how poor his preferred starting 11 were playing. Forced to play Nelson who instantly made us look better at the back with a bit of pace - concerns with the lack of pace were mentioned on here before the season started yet he stuck with morrison and flint. Vaulks barely played under warnock but had a good season when given a chance under Harris. Tomlin, apparently wasnt fit enough to play but miraculously became fit enough after a few days of Harris being here. He then went on to be our top scorer and player of the season. Smithies never should have been dropped after playing well when Etheridge was out injured.
We were 14th in the league when Warnock left due to his inability to adapt his tactics that clearly werent working. We only finished top 6 because Harris was willing to change things and give these players a decent run in the team.
