Liverpool to sell Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson to raise £40m in transfer funds

Liverpool are keen to offload Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson in a bid to raise transfer funds for signings this summer, reports say. The duo spent last season out on loan, Grujic at Hertha Berlin and Wilson at Bournemouth, and impressed at their respective clubs.
Jurgen Klopp has a restricted budget to work with this summer and has already been forced to pull out of a proposed deal for Timo Werner. The RB Leipzig striker joined Chelsea after Liverpool ended their interest and the Premier League champions are now struggling to come to terms with Bayern Munich over the sale of midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Mirror claim the Reds hope to sell a few of their in-demand players and could fetch as much as £40m for Wilson and Grujic.
Wilson, 23, scored seven goals at Bournemouth and Liverpool think they could demand £20m for the Wales international.
Grujic impressed in two seasons at Hertha Berlin and 24-year-old has linked up with the rest of the Liverpool first-team at their Austrian training camp.
Like Wilson, Liverpool value Grujic at around £20m and if the pair were sold that would add £40m to the transfer kitty.
Liverpool have already made one signing this summer with the addition of left-back Kostas Tsimikas. Klopp was keen to add cover for Andrew Robertson, but a potential deal for Thiago appears a difficult compromise to strike. Bayern want £27.2m for the Spaniard, who is keen to link up with the Reds, but Liverpool are ready to wait to see if the Bundesliga champion’s drop their asking price.

Loved Marko Grujic when he was here and would have loved to see him back the season after

£20m for Grujic?
They're having a laugh. Did well for us in the Championship but not sure he is Premier League quality and let's be honest it's only a PL club that could afford to pay that sort of money in the current climate.
Realistically he's probably worth about £8m to £10m tops

He was only 22 when he played for us and when he came in we went on that amazing run that basically sealed promotion (13 games undefeated). He did go off the boil after a niggly injury but that was only to be expected for a youngster.
Since then he's played 50 games for Hertha and scored 9 goals, all at a pretty high standard of football. I don't think £20m would be far off.
