Wilfried Zaha's desire to leave Crystal Palace

Wed Aug 19, 2020 8:32 am

Wilfried Zaha's desire to leave Crystal Palace this summer has left them with a "dilemma", according to Roy Hodgson. Who might the Eagles pursue if the club decides to sell their prized asset and academy product?

There are still seven weeks to go until the transfer window closes so Crystal Palace have plenty of time to find a replacement if they decide to sell Zaha.

Palace wanted £80m for Zaha last summer, but prices have dropped in this window. They will have to accept a lower fee if they sell him now but replacements will also be cheaper to buy.

QPR's Ebere Eze, Ryan Fraser, Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins of Brentford are among the players who could replace Zaha at Selhurst Park.

Zaha wants to leave to play in the Champions League. Palace as you rightly say will have the time and money to secure replacement.

And did the same at Cardiff City FC! :(

Pointless moving, the guy is a 'home' boy and needs to be near his mum (not knocking her) ;)

To be fair, he was fairly young when he made that move and it was far too big a step up to United. At 27 now, he seems like he's matured a lot and is a more rounded player in his prime.

No chance Palace are getting anywhere near £80 million for him though!
