' Footy fans allowed in? '

Football fans in leagues below national league north & south level 7 can have fans in grounds when season starts!

Subject to corvid restrictions?

social distancing , fans contact details (trace & track) groups of less than 7 people together, and a named person at venue responsible for corvid rules being implemented.... this is not a prelude for elite leagues to let fans in to games as they will still have to have test events before Oct when fans are to be allowed in for games subject corvid conditions at that time..

I can't see fans in grounds as we knew it till next spring, maybe some very reduced capacity in the meantime hopefully

Well non leagues as been given go ahead as I've said... now Scotland looking at Sept to allow fans in... England targeting oct, obviously corvid permitting but it's got to happen or football will be finished as we know it ... and gvmnt know this which would be disastrous for communities and politicians as well.

Good god no! but quit a dilemma for drakeford cannot allow fans in at footy without lifting restrictions on all spectator sport? But he cannot allow clubs to go bust/administration as that surely is the prospect for clubs without fans inside stadium fairly soon.

I suppose a lot will depend on number of infection and more importantly hospital immissions come November,December if they remain fairly low hopefully capacity can be increased in the new year

I’m thinking that CV may be mutating into something not so deadly. Hence the lower death rates

Drakeford has said its possible fans can begin to return in the Autumn.. its not concrete and has provisos obviously.. but they are clearly considering it...

Hes doing what he does best wait for England to do something and then jump on bandwagon saying hes got it right! I was told that only 10% of capacity will be done at start of letting Fans in rising to 30% increasing if successful... personally dont think have lot of options as clubs have got to start letting in fans or going to have clubs going into administration Unquestionably.

If it's the autumn we are going to miss the 1st 3 months of the season. Knowing the Welsh assembly we will be allowed back in the weekend after the Swansea game.

It doesn't make sense allowing pubs to open but taking so long to allow a limited number of spectators at non league grounds. You can get around two hundred people at 2 metres apart around the perimeter fence alone and that's not even allowing for family groups. Barry Town for example could easily allow five hundred in - which is roughly there average gate- and everyone would be 2 metres apart. (Though after last nights hammering I think they would prefer to play behind closed doors for a while)

Wg or drakeford more like have declined to let fans into ccs for a friendly to test corvid compliance! This comes after supporters clubs asked to allow fans in on a trial basis :banghead:

Maybe not but hate it when he gloatsabout doing slowly when in reality he cannot make a decision (except m4) but is waiting for other parts of uk to get a spike or such and then say told you so..... as been said could have situation of rest championship clubs with fans and not us or nport/swans .... his version is 99.9% same as rest uk who made decisions 3wks or more earlier .. ;)

It’s going to be quite difficult getting people in and out of the Cardiff City Stadium safely whilst the COVID testing station is still outside. It’s relatively easy to socially distance in the seats, but much harder getting people in and out of the ground/toilets etc

Getting in not problem it's more about time it may take to get in? Toilets should be ok as it's in one way out another and plenty of space to Marshall this... seats another matter as people must pass in front of people sitting down but as its only a fraction of a second dont see it as a problem really well not at ccs! But most if not all other grounds don't have our space within stadium.

Good to see the lower leagues giving this a go - time will tell if this can be rolled out over the other leagues .

Tony it's ok for lower league as not got the fans to worry to much on social distancing ... but as we now know drakeford not interested in football fans or any other sport fans for that matter..... at rate drakeford makes decisions it'll be least dec before max capacity is allowed at city

In Wales there is just no way test events are going to favour football over rugby. Regardless of stadium design and relative suitability.

The club's conditions on season tickets being bought with stated no refund for no games barely helps either.

WAG will see we have some income unlike many organisations, businesses and clubs.

I still can't believe club have done this without a backlash.

From what I have seen of other clubs they have all gone the other route and said please renew as you'll all get your money back if we can't let you in.

Other clubs desperate for funds? If reports are to be believed 5 to 8 championship clubs could be in in trouble with ffp as was relying on transfer money in normal transfer window to save themselves! Obviously this as been changed so watch this space...

I'm sure some are desperate for funds. Though not many championship clubs operate with a surplus for transfer money in. If they've taken money in knowing they are in trouble and shafted their loyalist supporters in the process football will have reached a new low. Reminiscent of Riddlers golden season ticket to pay the VAT bill.
