Why Gareth Bale is so reluctant to leave Real Madrid

Bale takes home over £350,000 a week after tax, you would have to be mad to give that up.

Gareth Bale's agent made an angry promise to Real Madrid that his client would see out the rest of his lucrative contract after Los Blancos bungled his move to China, according to reports in Spain.

The Welshman's future in the Spanish capital remains uncertain following months of seemingly ugly tension between the player and manager Zinedine Zidane.

Bale has two years left to run on his lucrative contract at the Bernabeu, believed to be worth in excess of £350,000 a week after tax, and his representative Jonathan Barnett has insisted he is happy to see out the rest of his deal.

However, Marca have now reported that Barnett's steadfastness was borne out of Bale's botched move to China 12 months ago.

TBH this is getting a bit pathetic now. GB will never want for anything in his life again and is a very rich man. If he accepted a move back to the PL and earned only £250kpw after tax he would still earn £6m over two years

So Mr. Bale stop acting like a spoilt child and get on with a new challenge, money isn't everything especially to someone like you.

If Bale wanted to leave, but Real Madrid were refusing to let him go, I’m sure many people would be pointing out the fact he’s contractually obliged to stay. Whilst I agree it’s being handled pathetically via the media (disputes should be kept in house), I also think that Bale has the right to see out the contract he was offered as per the original employment agreement.

0.25m x 52 = £13m per year

13m x 2 = £26m

I'm guessing you left the 2 off the 6m. :old:

I really don't understand Bale. Is he staying for the money, when he will always be rich? I hope not. Is he staying because he and his family want to be out there? Possibly - and who could blame him. But what about playing for Wales and doing his best for Wales? He can't do that if he is not playing regularly. So maybe he thinks that he will be able to play well for Wales, even though he is not playing regular first team football - or maybe his family is more important. Whetever he thinks, I will not sit in judgement of him - unless he is simply being greedy (which is possible).

I don't think it's greed at all, this is beef between him and zidane, remember zidane left because the owner backed bale,I believe zidane has deliberately tried to alienate bale,in the hope he would ask for a move, and if real didn't get greedy, and ask for a fee, bale would be playing in China now! They shot themselves in the foot denying him that move, so why should he seek a move now?
They have even suggested selling him for as low as 17.5m! Which is fine, providing bale wants a move to one of the club's that show interest, and if he doesn't fancy what's on offer,he can refuse to go!
Zidane would be a goner, had he not won la liga, and bale would be a new managers problem (or not)
Being selfish,I would much prefer he was playing,no matter who for,as that is to the benefit of Wales . :old: :bluebird:

They pissed him off big time, he had a deal arranged and it was stopped at the last minute, now it's a case of an employer trying to manage out an employee trying to tear up his contract and bully him out.

He's earned that massive contract, from his amazing performances for Wales and Spurs, they pay him off or he stays and plays golf in the sun in Spain, Bale is in the driving seat.

Not quite,as he has to train with them,or he would be breaching his contract? Pretty much the same as the other day, when zidane said "he (bale )didn't want to play" against man City, I'm pretty sure if that were the case, they could terminate his contract, on the grounds of refusing to do his work (play football ) certainly grounds for dismissal,
it's more likely he was told he wouldn't be innvolved,so rather than travel to just sit in the stands, he said he would stay in spain.understandable in my eyes.why would he risk losing his contract, and the vast amount of money involved?
He is coming to cardiff, with Messi, and for one season, man City are loaning us de bruyne and sterling, and paying all their wages too :laughing5: :old: :bluebird:
