Bale tipped to rejoin Spurs

Gareth Bale has been backed to make a return to Tottenham, with his time at Real Madrid seemingly coming to an end.
The Wales international has found himself outcast by Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu and Spurs legend Micky Hazard wants to see him resurrect his career in north London.

"Would I want to see him back in a Tottenham shirt? 100 per cent, without a shadow of a doubt," Hazard told the Daily Star.
"Anyone who says Bale wouldn't offer Tottenham anything is lying. I sincerely hope he gets his career back on track because he's such a special talent.”

Strange. I thought Bale was joining United the last 12 Transfer windows.

dont see Spurs paying him anything like what he is earning now.. and if they did they would have Harry Kane stood permanently outside the managers office with new wage demands...

Don't think he'll go anywhere.

Seems happy enough earning a lot of money and not playing matches.

i think he has said happy where he is and also happy to move providing its not for less... Spurs are paying Kane less than half that ...so how does that work ?

If he moves anywhere Madrid are going to have to give him a pretty big pay off to go. Probably half of what they would have paid with the new club picking up the rest.

It's hard to see him back in England. Nothing against him, but his legs have gone. If I was him, I'd see out my contract at Madrid. And then look at playing out in the states. Easier league will be the main man, won't have to run about as much

Jose Mourinho desperate to end Gareth Bale's Real Madrid hell and is 'waiting with open arms' for dream Tottenham return – reports

The manager wanted to sign the Welshman while in charge of Manchester United and is now keen to bring him to north London

By Glen Williams

Thursday 20th August 2020

Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to launch a bid to end Gareth Bale's Real Madrid nightmare and bring him back to Tottenham.

Bale has been frozen out in the Spanish capital owing to an apparent rift with manager Zinedine Zidane, who has played him only once in Los Blancos' last 11 fixtures.

The Welshman even decided against travelling to England for Madrid's Champions League tie a fortnight ago because it was said he knew he would play no part in the clash with Manchester City.

His future at the Bernabeu is extremely uncertain, with it unlikely he will get any game time if he stays next season. However, agent Jonathan Barnett adamant his client will see out the final two years of his contract.

Despite that, Spanish outlet El Espanol, report Mourinho has his sights on landing the Wales flyer this summer.

Mourinho is a known admirer of Bale, having chased him on more than one occasion while he was in charge of Manchester United, and now wants to explore the option of bringing him back to north London, where his career skyrocketed.

It could prove difficult, though, with belligerent agent Barnett still thought to be teeming after Los Blancos bungled the player's move to China last year.

It is that botched move which is said to be the reason Barnett does not want his player to leave, with the agent thought to be furious the Spanish champions derailed Bale's transfer.

But El Espanol claim Bale now has two options: Stay at Real Madrid and not play or return to Tottenham, where they say Mourinho will be waiting "with open arms".

Many, especially in this corner of the world, believe that Bale, 31, still has so much to offer and would be a marquee signing if he was to return to the Premier League.

The player shot to stardom while donning the white of Tottenham, for whom he scored 37 Premier League goals in his final three seasons, and many believe he still has the quality to make a telling impact.

Many critics believe Spurs are overly reliant on Harry Kane and need to add more firepower in front of goal, which Bale has in abundance.

Sport claim negotiations for Bale could start for as little as £15m when it comes to a transfer fee, however it is his lofty wage expectations which is thought to be off-putting to many clubs.

The Welshman is thought to bring home in the region of £350,000 a week after tax in the Spanish capital and would need to drastically reduce that figure if he was to seal a move elsewhere.

This is all about him and zidane!! A battle of will power,as zidane left remember, because owner backed bale, came back, and has brought his beef with bale back too!
If I turned up to work each week, and my boss said "we don't need you today" I'd do exactly the same tbh
I posted on another thread regards bale,I would prefer he were playing, for anyone, so as he is fine tuned for the euros.
He turns up for training,as per contract, it's not his fault if he is left out of the squad by zidane, and boy they could have done with him against man City! ! They tied him down on a lengthy contract, and ludicrous wage,to stop him from leaving in the first place
So they have two choices imo,pay him up,or find a club that can meet his enormous wages (I can't think of one myself?)
If zidane didn't win la liga,he would be gone!! And bale would be another managers player, who may well decide he is worth keeping? I don't get why some think he should seek to move,or lower his wage demands etc, if I was being ostriciised at work, but had a contract, that I was willing to fill,by continuing training etc,I'd dig my heels in too tbh. :old: :bluebird:

i agree..
they messed him about last year with the move to China, which i think was for more money... so why would he now accept less than Madrid are paying him to save them money ?
i dont buy all this Spurs talk .

His legs have gone?? Really! Certain players keep their pace for a while,I mean ricardo quaresma (portugal) played for besiktas whilst being a tad older than bale, but still had pace, even at 34/35! Yrs some lose pace, but the real elite players make up for it,with a great footballing brain, and timing. :old: :bluebird:

ah i dont mean legs have gone in regards of pace, i mean it as in, one heavy tackle and he's done for a while. nothing against him regarding pace or intelligence. just in terms of injuries. premier league is really physical and demanding on the body,
