If you could chose one past player to come back - in their prime - who would it be?
I couldn't decide between 1st season Chopra - we need bags of goals - or 1st loan Koumas to alternate with Tomlin attacking defences

Kavanagh, the Bennetts, King Whitts....

Ian Gibson in midfield.
Tough, tenacious ball winning midfielder who'd do all the dirty work in the middle of the park and free Tomlin to create havoc behind the striker.

Nathan Wigg

Bit of an odd one, but ricky schimica (probably spelt that wrong) are 06/07 season fell apart when he got injured.
Having two strikers up front isnt our formation anymore so not sure how effective Chopra would be and having Ricky in the team would free up ralls to Express himself more.

Has to be Bellamy for me. Lifted the team and club when he joined - Cardiff through and through

if we are talking about in his prime in surely has to be John Charles as he by far the best player that has ever played for this club. Probably the only truly world class player thats done so even if it was at the end of his career but in his prime he was ludicrous.

maybe Trevor Ford who Sunderland payed a british record at the time 30k for and moved to ourselves for the same fee a couple of years later still only 29 and only sold to us over a massive fall out up there and was good enough to go to PSV 4 years later... or maybe the player my late father always says was the best player he ever watched in a Cardiff shirt....Gerry Hitchens who played here in his early 20s .. never even seen him mentioned on threads ?

Surprised John Toshack hasn't received a mention thus far, considering the angst among fans when he left the club. Probably more so than for any other player who has left the club since.
For me, the player I would love to have back though is Ian Gibson.
