It looks like Neil Harris

Sun Aug 16, 2020 12:00 pm

Looks like Neil Harris is more than happy with his current squad and does not want much more and believes we can go up this coming season, very positive.

BBC

NEIL HARRIS:

"We're a club moving forward. We've got camaraderie on the pitch, a togetherness and a desire to win.”
“I have a strong squad, full of quality and we are going places this coming season.”

A right back and I wouldn’t be disappointed either Annis tbh. :bluescarf:

A decent loan striker or a young one who can’t get into a PL team just yet would be good....

When you look at the quality football played by the likes of Fulham.Brentford to name but a few.I'd say the squad needs a complete overall.

I think NH is continuing to put his stamp on the team and style of play. There has certainly been a different feel to the team since the break.

Why? Just because they play tippy tap football doesnt mean that 20 other clubs in championship have to do same! Or are you suggesting we get 12 or more new players so that we can play same boring football like Fulham in particular? :o

What is old fashioned football? 442...433 ....451? From what I see teams play a variety of football including city! Fulham play the most tedious boring football in championship and if wasnt for mitrovic they'd be mid table at best? Brentford they were best team after Leeds but that didn't get them promotion!
But Would say warnock's football old fashioned but certainly not Harris's. And not
sure many would agree with you now.

Going places? :?

I can think of at least 23 'places' we'll be going next season (Brentford, Coventry, Forest, Bristol, etc., etc.) :laughing6:

On a serious note, I think this squad can impose itself on the Championship with one or two more additions and with our style of play, others will know they are in for a tough game

Neil ap Harris' Cardiff City are more about end product than simply looking pretty! :ayatollah:  :bluescarf:

Our form since Harris came in suggests otherwise. Plus, let's be realistic, we haven't got the money for that.

Is that the same Fulham we beat on their own patch?
I agree that some need to be moved on but there’s the basis of a good squad already for next season imo.

play off final was a boreathon..

and why would you want to watch 100s of sideways passes when 90% of goals are scored from 2 passes or less...all this nice football milarky ..its about winning..

honest question then.... if we don't make the play offs, is that seen as a failure ?

if by xmas, we're mid table and don't look like going anywhere, do you sack the manager or stick?

and what does moore have to do to be considered a good signing ? 15 goals, 10 assists ? 10 goals, 10 assists ?

If this is how Neil Honestly feels, then min we should expect this season is the play-offs again.

Or perhaps he's been told there's no money to spend, and is trying to put a positive spin on the situation.

i think anything lower than 6th is a failure.

probably sacked if we look out of touch of top 6..

Moore will be slaughtered by the librarians if he doesnt score goals no matter how well he plays..

If that’s so then Harris is not as honest as I thought .

Of course there’s No money backing him and if he feels he has not got a strong enough squad then he needs to be honest about it.

I think he believes in the squad :thumbright: :bluebird:

Results since the lockdown suggest he is speaking the truth and backing his boys! :ayatollah:

well we deservedly finished 5th , the two clubs that remain that also finished in the play offs will lose their better players and dont really see anyone else spending big sums... why shouldnt he be confident ?

Come on Annis, what do you call being honest? As Sven points out, results since lockdown have been excellent, many on here had us nailed on for a relagation scrap for whatever reason (more than likely because of Harris appointment ) and what should he say ? My squad is poor,we are just looking to avoid relegation! He needs to recruit a few more players,so is saying we are in a good place(I think we are, just need a couple or 3 good loans) I mean come on,warnock wasn't known for honesty at times, its their jobs to be positive surely? Hardly dishonest.and there is little cash available now, if any,but we are in unprecedented times,so needs must. :old: :bluebird:
