If you get drawn away... Tough , don't play for a draw , you have to just go for it
All down to money people TV etc etc

You are right its nothing to do with TV. For us oldies the introduction of penalties was abhorrent. Bring back the second or third replay!! I remember us playing York at St. Andrews I think - we lost -and Sunderland at Maine Road- we won- in second replays. And didn't Palace play the Jacks at Ninian. Teams only had small squads then 16 or 17 and just one substitute. And no wingeing!

If you’re happy just settling for promotion it’s roughly 440/1
To win the Championship and the FA Cup we’re 1140/1
Worth a fiver?

Torquay in the 1st round of league cup , which was already a home and away 2 leg affair went to a replay..
on that note....the first of those games away to Torquay evening kick off on a glorious Saturday 43 years ago yesterday... . thousands of us in Torquay drinking all day, not so many in the ground by 7.30 though..![]()

and yes the Swansea Palace game at NP...after 2 draws the clubs tossed a coin to decide who would pick where the neutral venue would be.. Swansea won the toss... doubt they would pick the CCS if it were today...?

Huge fixture backlog this season with both Premier League and EFL clubs having to play a lot of midweek matches as well as their weekend matches.
Don't be surprised to see Under 23 sides in both domestic competitions from Premier League clubs and those fighting at the top end of the Championship.
Things will hopefully return to normal from 2021/22 - I hope this doesn't become standard now.

I can see both sides, but for me,I'd like to see next goal the winner,no pens at all.but that's me,it would certainly make it entertaining ,as in some games it could be over in the 1st minute of extra time,in others not so,but would at least make teams go for it.just my fancy![]()

I agree with you.
Would rather see a golden goal than penalties but a match can't go on forever and penalties definitively set a stalemate
