Covid deaths!

Wed Aug 12, 2020 10:47 pm

According to sky, figures are to be reduced by 5,300 odd,due to MISLEADING figures, something I have said on many an occasion on here, and it goes further than the 5000+ as far as I am concerned. :sad7: :old: :bluebird:

was explained on news earlier... English deaths....
in Wales, Scotland and N ireland to qualify as being a covid death you must test positive and die within 28 days..
there was no 28 day limit in England but when applied it reduces total by 5,300...
keep going i say... reduce it to 14 days or better still how about just giving ACTUAL covid deaths... before they sentence hundreds of thousands more to premature death....

Agree 100%,I read Earley you could test positive in january, then die in November, and still covid was cause of death? I don't do much MSN to be fair, but it popped up on my news feed, on my phone,so thought I'd post.
My belief is we will NEVER know the TRUE figures regarding covid being the actual cause of death,my views haven't changed one bit,yes the older and infirm population needed to be protected/shielded a lot better than they were,my mum,who is 80,and lives alone, has recieved just 4 phone calls from council etc, checking if she is ok,or in need of anything! Luckily for her,she has us,and didn't actually have to rely on anyone, but she is one of the luckier ones :sad7: those in homes, stood very little chance against it,as being in a home usually means no family, or very poor/ limiting underlying conditions, but thanks for clarification  :old: :bluebird:

I think the numbers if done the same way as countries like Italy Spain etc would be much lower. It’s starting to look like the uk has done pretty well compared to the above as it stands that may change. My understanding is that if you had an underlying health issue and tested positive recovered from the virus and then died 20 days later it classed as a Covid death in uk but not else where. ?

Re: Covid deaths!

Just goes to show what a fix up this has been.
Some countries only counting it as a covid death if the person dies in hospital
Other countries treating it as a covid death if the person dies in hospital and has had a positive covid test.
Other countries treating it as a covid death if the symptoms are covid like
Where as others seem to only treat it as a covid death if there were no other underlying conditions.
Get covid - survive - then die of a heart attack a month later = covid death.

The percentages are also all wrong - if you dont know exactly how many have been infected - then you cant work out the death rate. It looks there have been lots of infections - but sometimes hardly any symptoms and no test taken.

The UK has been too zealous in counting while other countries much less so.

I wonder how patient the world will be when China announces it's next disease ?

ridiculous mate... you go to the Dr he tells you its tonsillitis and 4 weeks later your unfortunate to die of a heart attack ..nobody in theri right mind would chalk your death death down as tonsillitis ... would they ?

To be fair to Sky News, who unlike the British Brainwashing Corporation, are more impartial, they explained how Public Health England have been calculating the figures. This does appear the Government are trying to shift the blame to Public Health England for this cover up though. Here's the link: https://twitter.com/SkyNews/status/1284 ... 66369?s=20

the important thing is the numbers are inflated... nobody should be counted as a covid death unless they died of covid not this 28 days milarky...

Well they count terminally ill patients as dying of corvid that should tell people how inaccurate the counting is being done :o

I've just returned from my SECOND drive in covid check.

Forget about the personal stress I'm big enough, old enough and ugly enough to cope.

But

The abysmal handling of the people attending to discover their fate/health just about sums up the ludicrous penny pinching management of this threat.

My first test a few days ago had not surfaced?!

Several calls to the 119 "helpline" a joke.

No sign of my test.

Rather than wait a few more days ( their words) I thought it sensible to go for another test.

Shambolic display again.

MITIE staff paid peanuts to carry out this essential service?

Totally different stages and instructions from the first test.

What is going on?

Oh me of little faith.

:(

This is true, and I agree  also with skidemin. A few of us have been questioning these "figures" for months now,and I still say, more will die not of,or with covid, but because of it!! And stand by what I've said, dying of something is one thing, dying with it,is a completely different kettle of fish.and having read statements from people returning from Spain in the last 48 hrs, where people are reporting of absolutely NO checks,or form filling,or being told to isolate,WTF is the point of stating something like they did,and then not following it through? I know some think the current incumbent, boris the blagger and his goons, have done a sterling job responding to this pandemic, well I'm in the opposite corner,it's been one cock up,after another :? Spain has been having large numbers of daily infections again, yet people still allowed to return from there holidays there unchecked,Germany has seen a big increase,as have France, whose numbers are nearly at peak lockdown levels, now Greece has reported largest number of positive tests since the start ! Saying that it's the tourists who have infected the local people.IF it's as bad as they say (I don't believe it is) why not stop all flights in and out of all countries, except for essentials, like food supplies etc.sounds draconian? They are now saying there is evidence the virus is airborne? In that case,it's almost impossible to control as if it is,it can land on any part of you,at any time, mask wearing will be pointless imo,as I've seen so many now, wearing them on foreheads, necks, wrists, then pull the up to cover just their mouths!! I know my argument to stop all flights, will inadvertently damage businesses, both here and abroad, but as I have said above, if it's as bad as we are led to believe, what are the alternatives? Personally I believe we should be ploughing on ,as the above will affect an awful lot of people, thus adding to the "because of covid" tally. :old: :bluebird:

I would like to think the majority of us by now are aware the covid figures have been artificially inflated, especially now the mainstream media are finally starting to admit it.

I agree remembering some of the past posts on here there a lot of scared people. There was near hysteria and panic from some when all the mass gatherings started that case would rocket again, well it’s been a couple of months and these worries having materialised. And when you compare to Spain for example where from what I’ve heard had very strict lockdown that nobody broke at all they seem to still be doing pretty bad, so was that the wrong way to go or was ours? Or maybe somewhere in between. Who knows but it’s looking like being no where near as bad as it is was made out. Just from people I know and on here some people have been scared to death, and that’s the truly sad thing.

peoples argument is with out lockdowns it would have been worse...i disagree.... we locked down on a day where we had 67 deaths. and a running total of just over 300.... a month into lockdown it had risen to 23 THOUSAND deaths.. but 3 weeks later again with deaths now having risen to over 32 THOUSAND and on a day we experienced 4 times the deaths as on the day we locked down the government announces a beginning of easing of restrictions...following announcements in both Spain and Italy of easing off their lockdowns...both similarly easing at a much higher daily death figure than when lockdown was implemented and both having experienced 5 figure deaths while in lockdown... was a mistake, and having spent billions there is now huge political pressure to be cautious to the extreme just in case it comes back stronger in the Autumn...

The facts regarding spain are incorrect,as it was posted on here, that over 800,000 fines were issued there, during the lockdown, for breaches,so no,there were plenty of breaches there, and not as you are led to believe, that there were none.not having a pop, just letting you know
the somewhere in between, has worked so far in Turkey, just about 5,000 deaths, under 16's and over 65's had to stay at home, the rest (if fit and not unwell) went about there business, pretty much as normal, with certain restrictions in place in major cities, like nightclubs and bars were closing earlier,or closed.
who knows what is/was.but I agree 100% with the posters who say people were/are scared shitless, and they are the one's who will line up for the "vaccine " as planned imho. Not for me thanks,I will take my chance with this virus,as I have with all the others during my life so far.my concern is if it becomes mandatory! :old: :bluebird:
