Why?
We are NOT the World's police force NOR the World's bankers.

Trouble is mate, if Sunak wasn’t helping the uk people affected by CV then that would also be wrong in most people’s eyes. It’s all opinions but I personally think he’s doing a great job and has the potential to become our next pm.

It was called putting the money into perspective.
I think that the two 'political' threads on here highlight a lot of what's wrong with this country. Are there threads on the fact that the government is giving your money to their chums instead of to companies who can make things to save peoples lives? No, they're ignoring corruption from our government time and time again and instead have focused on getting angry at £5 million to a disaster and an average of 17 people a day coming to this country. Both which would cost you under a penny in taxes probably. Food banks are being used more than ever, a footballer had to get the government to give people meals, and some people think the problem lies with people who have had to leave everything behind to try and make a better life for themselves. No 1st world country should have people starving, let alone a party given a decade to stop it.
How many people on here would try and get their families to a safe country if our country was bombed to rubble and invaded? How many peoples descendants are from other countries? You are not automatically better than someone because your parents decided to live on this plot of land than another. That is what a number of people in the world need to learn. How's that for a lack of opinion.
Oh, and I've never been to Lebanon but I did sign a good player from there on fm a few years back (in case rumpo boy says this comment is not relevant)

All aid should be directly used by aid organisations not given to corrupt governments? Why do you think governments especially in Africa wont allow aid organisations in the country or to organise distribution because they syphon off the sid and money... Lebanese people want this government out because they know it is corrupt..
