Economic nirvana for the tills of wherever we land.
Forget about the arrests, disgusting, shagging, scumbag, drunken behaviour.
Wake up. Anywhere that has WELCOMED this tribe with open arms, legs and tills since the 80's are absolutely reliant on their yearly migration.
Covid has decimated this cash cow.
Scare tactics to keep the tribe at home on a "stay cation " to boost our dead economy is one theory.

And a valid one. You are at worse risk in the UK compared to most of Spain.quite simply the latest haphazard government decision as they get told the latest horrific financials and try to restore some cash at home.can see their point but no other country is treating their own in this shambolic manner and changing the rules on a whim

I said the same thing months ago,the government want us to holiday at home to try and boost the economy, it's all very well pointing the finger at people who may or may not be on furlough,this is the very same goverment,who let stacks of flights from countries that had a lot more cases than us at the time,fly in and out, with no checks whatsoever,now you have to give personal details to eat at a restaurant etc etc?? What happens to this info,does it get disgarded if no cases detected,or does the responsibility of your personal details, fall to the .and lord, hairdresser etc etc?? I for one am not happy,not knowing how safe my personal info is.I have also noticed 99% of shops etc have increased their prices,imho to make up for missed revenue.when some are being given a 20% tax relief by the goverment too,not being passed on by many in my view to us the customer, instead we are paying the normal rate,for say a bag of chips,and the retailer is getting 20% on top too
