I’ve read a number of comments on the board and in the welsh press about some average games Nelson has had. Whilst this might be true to an extent, bearing in mind he has had to step up a level and played under 2 managers in a year I think he’s had a terrific season. He is strong and quick and it cannot be a coincidence that Morrison has also had a good season. They both complement each other and now that they have a better understanding of each other’s ability I’m sure they will be crucial to our success next year going forward.

His inexperiance especially against quality forwards like fulham stands out a mile.

Nelson has qualities but his reading of a game is still pretty poor for a 28 year old and he needs to improve it quickly. He tends to follow his man everywhere which leaves us wide open. Last night was not the first time its happened and clever forwards take advantage of him by dragging him out of position leaving us wide open.
He should have left his man last night and stepped in after he went passed Morrison but he did not even see it.
Ypu can see that he's been playing lower level all his career.

Hes done very well , to be honest I didnt expect him to play at all.

Its his inexperiance against good players which stands out. 70% of the time in this league he is fine but the other 30% he looks out of his depth . Especially against the likes of Mitrovic , Charlie Austin, Lewis grabban. They are too clever for him. Morrison needs to be helping him and showing him when to go and who to pick up.

Nelson has had a really good season and will only improve next
