Why does that name ring a few horrible bells?

I'm sure Mr Stroud has f***ed us over on at least one occasion?

Tbh I thought the sending off was correct, purely based on some similar reds given this season (Morrison v Leeds).

The same Keith Stroud who disallowed Sol Bambas perfectly good goal at Millwall a few years ago.

Seriously, I did miss the pen decision but I thought he was okay.

Your in a very small minority who thinks it was a red... yes can see why given but then 4th official couple yards away could and should have spoken up but 4th official is only there to hold up a board it appears.... they will appeal and suspect will win it .. but will say typical premier league refereeing in championship..

It was virtually the same tackle that Cabanga did on a brentford player, and he only had a yellow!

Re: Keith Stroud Cheating C*nt

Sun Jul 26, 2020 9:57 pm

Stroud cocked up again, thr Brentford player played the ball not even a yellow!

The only cock up he made was not giving the penalty for the foul on Brewster.

The red was touch and go, certainly in line with other red card incidents this season so doubtful it will be overturned. Reckless.

So you're just going to ignore Gallagher's embarrassing dive just before that, which should've been the dive the ref punished. :laughing6:

He slipped from what I saw, that’s not a foul.

The ball then went to Brewster who got fouled.

I thought red when I first saw it in real time and and unfortunately the ref doesn't have half a dozen slo-mo replays to call on.It will be interesting if Brentford appeal the red card.I wonder what VAR would have made of it.

the angle showing the Brentford bench directly in line and no more than a few yards away was interesting.. all applauding the tackle . was a great tackle.. VAR is more random the the refs themselves.. its just as rare now for managers and pundits to be unanimous as it was pre VAR..

Brewster was fouled, without a shadow of a doubt.

I think it’s probably down to a lot of people’s misunderstanding of the laws of the game. Getting the ball isn't the be all and end all now, if it’s reckless and dangerous then that is the offence. I think it was harsh but definitely in the realms of being a red which is why I doubt the appeal panel will overturn. Have seen similar red cards this season.

keeper won the ball, they showed it enough.. there was a little contact after but he also made a meal of it... i did think the ref was booking the other fella though.

 He didn’t touch the ball.

He took Brewsters legs and he went down. Penalty.

Sky must have photoshopped it before showing it to the commentary team , pundits and UK viewers then . and you Aussies get it raw as it happens.. thats the only real explanation ?

I can’t comment on Sky, but I can comment on the fact he didn’t touch the ball let alone win it. It was a penalty.

I won’t bemoan our bad luck though, it’s just an observation.

Yes, we know.

What he actually missed and should have stopped the game for immediately prior to the Brewster penalty appeal and subsequent card was Gallaghers clear simulatio with no one near him in an attempt to obtain a penalty. This therefore means the challenge by the keeper on Brewster was irrelevant. Gallaghers dive was highlighted by the Sky commentary.

Yes it was a clear dive and not a slip as far a second or so you could see him react as if he’d been fouled.

Why would he stop the game ? he can come back to the "incident" and may I add Gallagher throughout that period didn't appeal for a penalty nor that he felt he'd been fouled , because he wasn't he slipped

No it wasn’t. That’s why he wasn’t penalised, Brewster was penalised and booked... for being fouled.
