I dont blame them, the way the government has handled the situation has been appalling coupled with an idiotic population that ignored all advice about limiting the spread.

Other than Leicester has corvid risen in uk thought it was getting lower? Get impression all countries are acting like rabbits in headlights and making decisions without thought of is it nessasary? Lockdown needs to be lifted at some point you cannot keep going in and out of it for next 12mnths every time theres a spike otherwise people will just abandon the rules whenever they can :old:

Correct but UK thought they would be.

I see UK being eventually closed to most countries.

hmmm.. to qualify for this green list a country has to have had less new infections per million people than the ROI in the previous 2 weeks .. the list is a bit sparse mate with lots of countries not meeting the criteria..

Who has added countries? Like said countries just don't know what to do but cannot keep lifting then reinstated restrictions all that will do is convince anyone not to go anywhere resulting untold damage to economies and airlines/travel companies.. its about time countries got together and devised a plan to stop this stop start farce!

like much of this corona virus stuff , all countries are making it up as they go...
we are testing more than all the countries on their green list. including double the amount the ROI test and as much as 7 times the amount per 100,000 some on their list test....

No tourists should be going anywhere until at least the new year FFS. Enjoy your local area.

Is Northern Ireland not part of the UK? How the hell does that work then?

So many of these restrictions are unenforceable and rely on the people involved doing the right thing.

Its not where you've been, its what you do when youre there that will most likely influence whether you're infected or not.

I don't need a tit for tat table from dubious government reporting to tell me Princess of Wales and Royal Glam don't have any Covid patients. Why any country who has worked so hard then want hoards of people from outside your country even town is beyond me.

I do not want Chinese, American, Brazilian, Indian or even French, German, Swiss or Spanish arriving in this country until we get out hands around at least therapeutics. We are 6 months in to an uninvited, unplanned global pandemic and the most financed medical sector in the world, the USA is seeing deaths from Covid significantly increasing.

But, hey. lets all go to Benidorm for cheap booze and a messy liaison with someone I never met twelve hours earlier.

I think the Irish are spot on for not letting millions of bored Brits onto their Island. Its not about contraction rates being a smidgen higher or lower than theirs, its about stopping mass short term temporary migration onto their soil.

It’s Irish politicians playing to the cheap seats, anything to have a dig at the evil Brits nothing more.

So all this arguing over a Brexit border in Ireland and the paddy's decide to impose one anyway. Hypocrites.
It will soon disappear when they need our trade and money.
Let's ban imports from Ireland as surely they cannot cross the border if our citizens are excluded from there. Not that I have any intention of going there so it does not bother me.
All these countries banning the Brits will soon change their minds when they realise their tourism and trade has disappeared.

Exactly it wasn't long ago Spain said they wouldn't allow us, we should really remember when all this is over and tell them where they can shove their guinness!!!

Better rule out smirnoff, Gordon's Jack Daniels and so many more as diageo own Guinness not the Irish

In fairness, if it's not just petty politics, and are concerned about Covid-19 then fair enough that is their prerogative.

There are probably not that many of us going anyway, I was looking at Groupon holidays earlier and they had loads in Ireland.

That table is from when they started recording. Not just the last day or week.

How does that work - if you live in Northern Ireland and work in the Republic ? - or the other way around. If you are from the republic and go to the norther - then you should quarantine when you come back to the republic.

As far as Ireland goes - they should work together and have the same policy for everyone on the island of Ireland
