Peter Green has passed away. Simply put a genius Fleetwood Mac would not have existed without this man. His brilliance which was sadly hamstrung by LSD leaves a huge legacy. I was privileged to see him live in the Coal Exchange around 1996.At the interval me an a mate met him and we asked him to play "Oh Well" he looked bemused, he had forgot it! By 1969 Fleetwood Mac were outselling the Beatles and the Stones combined !!!!! At my funeral I want "Man of the world" the greatest song ever written in my opinion. Rest in peace you genius fly straight you deserve eternal rest for what you have produced.

he wrote the 'Green Manalishi with the two pronged crown'...covered by Judas Priest, iconic hard rock song..probably drug induced!

I've got Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits album, with not a hint of Nicks or Buckingham anywhere !
It is jam packed with fantastic songs; Albatross, Man of the World, Green Manalishi, Oh Well, Need Your Love So Bad, Black Magic Woman and many more.
I recommend it to anyone who likes tasteful blues guitar and superbly crafted timeless songs.
Peter Green was indeed a genius and I regret not seeing him in his pomp. R.I.P.
