Why do you think Brentford are a spent force ? They will easily beat the gyppos home and away 1-0 and 2-0 and will play us in the final

Everyone would have said the same thing last game against Barnsley.
I have watched there last 2 games and they have been poor. They look tired and low on confidence.
They are trying to force there passing game and its not working at the moment. That defeat against Barnsley will finish them, its hard to turn that around especially as they are the least experienced of the four teams of these situations.

I'm not sure it will finish them as they are the best side there. Another stat is they did the double over both Fulham and Swansea so they start as clear favourites in my book.

anything can happen... games can turn of a refs decision or dare i say it a spot of luck...
but far too much is being written into that Barnsley defeat...Barnsley really havent been in bad form for a few months..24 points from last 14 games same as ourselves... a point more than your selves , 3 more than west brom and only 1 point less than Fulham....

Brentford simply have the best team.
I’m not sure what anyone else was watching but I watched the Brentford v Barnsley game too, they looked great on the ball and got caught at the end pushing for the winner that would have given them automatic promotion. They did start slow though but they were going up against a team fighting for their lives.
They have beaten us comfortably both meetings so would be disingenuous of me to say I am expecting to beat them over 2 legs. That’s not to say it is impossible however.

They looked great passing the ball around tip tapping to each other like Swansea used to do but they did absolutely nothing with it. They were devoid of any ideas and got frustrated. Its not like them this season and points to a bottle job .
They are there for the taking for Swansea

They have scored the most goals in the league and have the best goal difference in the league with that exact style. Tiki taka is such that it may not look like much is happening yet strategic passes are pulling players out of position.
I remember this forum said a lot how we don’t look to do anything with the ball, yet used to rip Premier League teams apart by 2 or 3 goals regularly. It’s very hard to play against. Possession, short precise and meaningful passes - it’s deadly.

Its effective in getting possession stats up high . If you do nothing with it in the final third then it's pointless and will get you nowhere. Like Swansea in the relegation year.
Brentford are only effective when they are firing up front . At the momebt they are not.
