Should they make the Covid-19 Vaccine compulsory?

Fri Jul 24, 2020 10:10 am

As it's not much use if they don't and the virus spreads?

And would have it? - Yes definitely, we need a big take up for it to be effective

Not necessarily. If enough people take the vaccine, then it should stop the spread.

This is a joke right? Make people have a vaccine that has not even been developed or tested for side effects and is only 50% effective (at the moment) It will be a long time until I am absolutely sure about it all before I would even contemplate have the covid19 jab, and there is no force on earth that will make me have it

No it's topical subject, it may be impossible to implement I realise, but it's interesting to see peoples views?

These links are to to with vaccinating children to eradicate measles etc, with a vaccine that has been used for years and is safe and effective, nothing at all to do with Covid 19 that is another matter.

Call me thick but I cant see the problem if the vaccine is effective. Its all down to personal choice. If you have the vaccine you are protected. If you choose not to and you catch it you only have yourself to blame. And it doesn't seem to effect young children anyway who aren't in a position to exercise that choice.

Sorry I thought my answer showed I was against compulsion. Why is there is there a need to make it compulsory? The whole argument about compulsion is about protecting the innocent. If the vaccine is effective, those who have had the vaccine are protected and those who have taken a choice not to have the vaccination have agreed to take the risk and if they do get it can only infect like minded people. As children are virtually immune from any serious illness the innocent are already protected. As an overweight 60 year old male I am going to be queuing up for the vaccine.
