" One point "

Sat Jul 18, 2020 4:00 pm

Following today's results, Cardiff City need just one point to reach the play-offs.

Even if we lose our final game against Hull, we will still reach the play-offs if Swansea don't win at Reading.

Hull need a win plays into our hands cannot see us losing though

That Boro goal may prove costly as at 3:0 we still could have lost by a goal against Hull and the Jacks won by a goal vs Reading and still stayed in 6th on goals scored.

Hull need to beat us 17-0 to stay up

Would have settled for this at Christmas....fair play to Harris....proved me and others wrong and seems to have done a lot of work in the break as we look a different team at times.
Hull at home ...u can’t ask for more tbh

Now if Dave Jones was manager I would probably be worried but not with NH he has turned us into a team which is very difficult to beat. Pity those carrot crunching Wurzels missed a penalty today but it's just typical of life being a Bluebirds fan.

I will still be a bag of nerves on Wednesday until we go 3 up or JB's go 3 down.

Just not a repeat of 2009.

I have the same feelings when we beat Hull the last time we went up and needed a point against Reading. We will be in the playoffs

My thoughts exactly when the Swansea result came through.

would be amazed if both games were 1-0 at end certainly cannot see our game being 1-0 but its irrelevant we will win :occasion5:

They don’t have to be 1:0 games, just 1 goal in it whatever the score

I know but still he surprised if both games ended 2-1..... 4 - 3 or any other 1 goal difference
Especially as we are playing hull... even a 2 goal swing before their goal would probably happen if we lose they win it like said irrelevant we wont lose

Re: " One point "

We don’t deserve to be in the play offs if we lose to Hull. Our team are quite mentally strong, so can’t see that happening. Hopefully!

Re: " One point "

Recall when Ramsey made his debut we lost at home to Hull in last game of season but the silver lining was it sent Leeds down :D

Cannot see us losing, a draw a possibility but lose? No.

No reason why Reading shouldn’t beat them. Their luck in last 2 games involving penalty kicks is due to run out.

Some fans of other teams may think we are cocky but any team in our position playing hull their fans would be saying same things :old:

Only 3 teams have scored more goals than us this season and Hull have the worst defence. You don't need Autosergie to check the form on this one. ;)

Be great to see forest lose their last 2.

Then we smash all comers romping to promotion via the playoffs.

Preferably the JB's in the final.

:)

Forget only needing a point. I want us to win and win well. In our first season in the Prem, Hull came down to ours and tore us a new arse, 4-0 I think it was, so I reckon we owe them a beating. Surely we can't feck it up????? :bluescarf:

Anyone in our position will be preying to have hull as final opponents it's that simple.. :occasion5:

No as its always said anyone can beat anyone in the championship and they are fighting for their lives.

The reason they are fighting for their lives is because they are not very good......if we cannot defeat a poor team it's us to blame.

Hull need a win plays into our hands cannot see us losing though

It could feasibly happen, if Luton lose by more than one to Blackburn and Hull win v Cardiff by a goal or more

Effectively, Charlton are not in their range. Although they are playing champions Leeds United, so a loss is likely, Hull would need to win by a clear 15 goals

Going to be twitchy bum night for so many (sadly armchair) supporters, as so many teams sweat on this single/final round of games

I love stuff like this; bit I won't deny I'll be as nervous as anyone and pleased once it's all over...so long as it all goes in our favour!

Chris
Hull needed to beat luton who were below them before game started, hull had precisely no shots on target added to worst defence it will be some what of a surprise if we cannot score more than one goal and keep them out at same time.. they reall dont look as if they have any fight left? Surely with our all round improvement we will be to much for them... :old:
