Dont see why he doesn't play ward or glatzel from start and put either on at halftime whoever is on bench nothing to lose now but will have if play Patterson upfront? Patterson is nothing but a nuisance to defenders but never looks like scoring and tonight hardly got in pen area other than for dead ball situation.

Have said the same allan on another thread, Glatzel or ward to start,as much as I love the attitude of pato,he has become increasingly ineffective as a striker,and he won't see that one pass that tomlin can split defences with,whereas Glatzel and ward have both done it since restart personally if I was the manager,I'd try and mould paterson into a midfielder,where his boundless energy could be an effective tool in harrying the opposition, just me thinking out loud .

Patterson seems a lot better suited to a defensive midfield role with his energy and work rate . He would be a nuisance in midfield allowing others to go forward.
Having him up front just blunts the attack

I don't think he got the tactics wrong, just our execution is poor.

We were never going to out football Fulham, it needed to be a fight. We may have pulled it of but their experienced striker against a loaned kid changed the game.

Not for a second do i think ex championship striker Harris believes that Glatzel is the answer. I am just surprised he doesn't think Danny Ward is.

I doubt the tactics were for Junior to start well then be total anonymous or for Sanderson to totally lose the plot.

The set play tactic of every free kick very deep to Morrison was fruitless. Every defender follows Morrison around like a bitch on heat and we still hit it to him !!

For me every player is up for sale except Morrison (unless a big offer of course), but especially all the forwards or wide midfielders. We need to start again.

Danny just doesnt do it for me when starting...one of these players that will score off the bench a couple of times and therefore earn a start ,only for the manager to then remember why he wasnt starting him.. like Le Fondre at Reading springs to mind..i cant say Le Fondre here because he always seemed to start.
