Maybe he was making Sanderson a better player than be was.

People wanted NML to start games when he was being used as an impact player from the bench.
But the bottom line is Adomah did the defensive side of the game very, very well.
It's also that reason why Hoilett starts ahead of Murphy.

What do you mean?
Most on this forum were saying we had better on the bench!
I'm still waiting to see these "better" players

The OP makes an excellent point and I think he's spot on. Sanderson has defensively struggled the past few games. I had no concerns with Sanderson until Adomah left, but Sanderson now seems to fail to stop any opposing winger from running at him and putting a cross over. Adomah is one of those players who we don't appreciate what we have until he left.

Didn't see this thread, and posted the same on another, his experience was helping young sanderson, who don't forget many on here were hoping he will stay for next season,or worried another club would snatch him up, doesn't help that Hoilett has been shocking of late, even the reporter on the game from bbc website said he didn't realise until half time Hoilett was playing!! Harris has to give Whyte a go surely, with junior benched.

Albert badly missed imo.. a player who made few mistakes, and it shows up now he’s not here.

Spot on, and a fresh Mendez and Glatzel coming on against tired legs was a brilliant option that worked well.

It might just be that Sanderson isn’t used to so many games.
I think Whyte has to get a game.
