This seems to be a rolling stone gathering a fair amount of moss, Mike Strinati

I don't know what's going to unfold but I do note that Wigan supporters managed to get together £100k+ in just over 24 hours since the news broke!

Credit to them and I hope they manage to survive to fight another day; it's not that long that (then) Dave Whelan's club were in the Premier League and holding their own

very strange goings on..

and Wigans MP asking the question..how can the EFL deduct 12points just 4 weeks after accepting the owner as fit and proper is a fair one...

I think this is going to open up a hole that the EFL have been blind to see in their "Fit for Purpose" process.

A big football club is centre to its community and that includes all the smaller clubs around it. An owner has a moral duty to uphold the interests of the local community. Its an unwritten rule and if they break it they lose respect. in this case it seems the new owners of Wigan had intentions that only suited them and not the community.

Yep, agree

But the problem up there is rugby league and plastics

They are passionate about rugby league and have big crowds for it

Football cant compete with it.

I spoke to locals up there when we played them, they have the same issue as South Wales to

That a lot of locals support Man Utd & Liverpool

the rumour is a very big bet on being relegated which looked nailed on until they won 6 and drew 1 out of 7... so looks like plan B is a 12 point deduction … this could happen to any club and not really sure what the EFL can do about it when dealing with billionaires who on the face of it look more than able to support the club they are buying........how can you tell which ones are like Tan and the fella at Leicester and which ones are less honourable...
