Cardiff to fly to Manchester for match

What are the travel plans?

Harris: “Everywhere seems a decent trek from Cardiff!

“We are going to fly. The EFL say if it’s possible to fly with social distancing then please do so.

“We have an airport 20 minutes from the stadium so we are going to fly to Manchester.

“We understand the travel arrangements and it’s not ideal changing in bar areas or press rooms. We are all getting our heads around it.

“Hotels will be weird, just confined to your rooms.

“Early kick-off helps, breakfast and off to the game.”

I've never really understood this flying to Manchester thing.

It's a three hour drive on a very comfortable bus it's not as if they are driving themselves.

Surely it's worse flying as they have to meet at the ground , get a bus to the airport which is half hour , wait for the flight probably a hour , fly half hour to manchester, board another bus for 25 minutes then go to the hotel and sit alone or go to the ground.

Surely it's easier to just meet at the ground jump on the bus and relax for 3 hours playing cards or watching a film

Seemed to work well for recent Middlesbrough trips, let's hope it gives us a flying start in the match :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Newcastle and middlesbrough I understand. Possibly Norwich but not Manchester.

Those coaches are luxury with a lot of leg room it's not as if they are being dumped on a mega bus with no toilet.

With you totally on this as well Thomas.

Plus seen as we are skint, City will be paying £thousands and still the coach drives up to meet them at Manchester airport, double expense.

3 hours to drive to Manchester? It's a trip I do regularly and with the m5/6 you will be looking like 4 to 4.5 hours.

If it gets us three points then who cares if they fly

Correct its alot more than 3 hours. And on a bus too.

The flying process will be private and seamless.
